According to the Singapore Cancer Society (SCS), there are more than 2,000 cases of breast cancer diagnosed in Singapore each year, and more than 400 people die from the disease. Raising awareness of breast cancer is an effort to reduce the number of cases or at least the mortality rate of the disease by educating people about the risks and early symptoms of breast cancer.
