It is a rather complex issue for someone like me, and honestly for a lot of people.
On the one hand, it is indeed regrettable that a lot of Britons who voted Leave did it out of xenophobia, shortsightedness, or sheer lies spread by the pro-Leave politicians. This is a huge setback for peace and prosperity in Europe.
On the other hand, the EU represents a mid scale model of globalization and free trade where not only goods and services but jobs and people's livelihood is up for trade. This globalization trend has been going on for decades and it consistently increased income inequality in Europe and elsewhere. The UK has been a sort of a leader in globalization and free trade and the fact that they are now taking a step back in the process is.... definitely something to observe.
On the other hand, seeing the glee on Farage's face just makes me wanna vom.... Oh, I've got three hands.
