Aceh - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BRI) has decided to distribute cash dividends derived from the net profit of 2017. The decision was also approved by the shareholders in the 2018 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM).
President Director of BRI Suprajarto explained that the shareholders agreed on the company's plan to pay 45% of the net profit of 2017 Rp 13.04 trillion.
"It consists of 30% regular dividend worth Rp 8.69 trillion and 15% special dividend worth Rp 4.34 trillion," he said at BRI Building, Jakarta, Thursday (22/3/2018).
Then the special dividend for the government as the holder of 57.27% shares of BRI get a quota of Rp 7.47 trillion. Meanwhile, the remaining net profit of Rp 15.9 trillion will be used as retained earnings.
In addition, this meeting also discussed the change of nomenclature of the company's board of directors. Like the Director of Medium Enterprises, Corporation and SOEs changed to Director of Corporate Banking.
Then before the Director of Micro and Retail was changed to Director of Micro and Small, Director of Business and Finance Strategy changed to Director of Finance, Director of Digital Banking and Information Technology become Director of Information Technology and Operation.
"Previously, we have not raised the Director of Retail and Medium," he added.
The Company also revamped the board of directors. There are 3 directors whose tenure runs out are Vincentius Sonny Loho, Sussy Liestiyowaty and Donsuwan Simatupang.
Instead, BRI appointed 4 new directors to replace 3 empty seats and 1 new chair: Hadiyanto, Osbal Saragi Rumahorbo, Achmad Solichin Lutfiyanto and Supari.
