HOW TO CALCULATE BRICKS, CEMENT, AND SAND QUANTITY IN 9″ BRICK WALL

in brick •  3 years ago
  1. Quantity of Bricks
    Assume, we have
    Brick Size = 9” x 4.5” x 4.5”

Thickness of Wall = 9”

Thickness of Mortar = 0.4”

Therefore, brick size with mortar
= (9+0.4) x (4.5+0.4) x (4.5+0.4)

             = 9.4 x 4.9 x 4.9

Now, Number of bricks = Volume of Brickwork / Volume of 1 brick with mortar

Also, volume of 1 Brick = 9 x 4.5 x 4.5

                                        = 182.25 cubic inch
