Chinese have proven their love for the glass-bottomed bridge again by building one at a staggering altitude of 1,981 meters in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
The bridge built on Batai Mountain is believed to be the highest of its kind in the world, surpassing the previous record made by Zhangjiajie glass bridge, by about 548 meters.
The 2.5-metre-wide transparent footpath allows a maximum of 80 tourists on it at the same time.

The bridge, which cost 10 million yuan (about 1,589,000 US dollars) to construct, links Chongqing Municipality with Sichuan Province.

It offers a way to enjoy a panoramic view of the stunning Batai Mountain Scenic Area — if you dare walk on it after it opens to the public in mid-February.
