Thanks man! Damn, that must have been a great experience at that age, to be fair I'm quite envious as I think it would have helped me gain a better understanding of the world if I was able to do it at that age and progressed me quicker! What's been your favourite place to cycle?

Soaking up some sun in Brighton
As an American, cycling in Western Europe (especially Germany and NL) is like heaven. I love every place that has its own cycling paths, and a population of adults who still cycle.
I think it's much better to cycle in countries where the drivers think "Oh, that could be me, or my dad, or my son. I'll give him some extra room." Instead of America where most people haven't ridden bicycles since childhood and have no empathy for cyclists.

Ah yeah, I bet NL was a great place to cycle!
Yeah that's a pretty good assessment to be fair, even in Russia you get given quite a bit of room and felt pretty damn safe (compared to the warnings I given) ... There must be some amazing routes to cycle in America though?

There are some amazing routes, and America has some of the most beautiful lands in the world. For the most part, I felt pretty safe on my trip across America. But later, when I first cycled in the Netherlands, it was like riding in paradise. Beautiful little paths cutting through forests and tulip farms, not a single car or truck in sight.
