As the (possible) inspiration for this idea, I am happy to be the first to endorse it. I wonder if you can ask our friends in the pouring community for ideas on how you might be able to 'preserve' a half melted version of the smaller coin on the front face of the bar.
Perhaps after pouring it into the mold, with the blowtorch still on full, wait for the silver to cool just enough to support the weight of the fractional coin being sat on and sinking a little into the bar. Then torch it to slightly melt the wicked witch of the west?

I had a worrying thought, considering you are already in their sights:
If you smelt it on video in the UK, the Royal Mint / other authorities might take legal action against defacing of legal tender. Maybe you could send some to the YouTube pouring community overseas to make something if doing it here becomes a no-no. I'm sure Burnie could do fantastic casting with the silver.
