Have you heard of Busker App? It was a cool broadcasting platform that probably provoked a lot of the good elements that are now available on Periscope. BuskerApp had a integrated PayPal payment system with auction capabilities as well as a merchandise distribution system that benefited many freelance entrepreneurs. Many people are going to miss Busker App.
Yesterday, Busker app announced a shut down. Main reason being that Google play store and iTunes Store wanted a bigger cut. A compromise would've reduced the sharing amount of every dollar to $.50 for app users. Fyuck!

BuskerApp got pushed out by Google and Apple.
Does Steemit or Steem support this type of broadcasting? If not, the sooner the better.

Someone please come up with an application that functions like Busker App, yet uses Steem in place of PayPal or Stripe.
The social media world is in desperate need of a decentralized broadcasting/streaming application with instant payment capabilities. There is a lot of potential for musicians, artists, poets, cooks and other entrepreneurs.

People made friends, and people cried while saying goodbye. Many will switch to Periscope.

Oh that sucks. I'd never gotten into it because PayPal but we really need this kind of infrastructure. Hmm.... Is there a spec anywhere that details the key functions? It's definitely worth kicking around as an idea.

Yes, a broadcasting app that allows people to post their merchandise, create auctions, create poles, and receive tips all with Steem or any other coin would be awesome!
I don't know if there's a spec out there with key functions detailed. It's kind of easy to contact/send a direct message to the developers while the busker app is still online.
