Just a simple spar they said,
Not telling me who I'd fight,
Put padding alongside my head,
And covered my eyes for sight,
This was my moment to shine,
Barefoot onto mat I walk,
Cheers from crowd weren't mine,
Then I hear a stranger talk,
Be like water, stranger said,
He whispered and he woo'd,
And then it entered in my head,
This day I'd be his food,
Threw kicks toward his face,
He stood steady in his stance,
Then he truly set the pace,
And set me in his trance,
I tried to move like in a race,
But he made it quite a dance,
My fists to his were slow,
Closer and closer our feet,
And then I felt a blow,
Hand and face did meet,
I'm thinking he's not a bro,
And I should take a seat.
