New Delhi: Ultra-high-speed fifth generation or 5G services are expected to be launched simultaneously with global launch from the telecom carrier Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) of the government official.

BSNL is working aggressively with multinational vendors like Nokia, Korean and ZTE on a 5G technology roadmap and aims to unveil enterprise and consumer services from 2020.

BSNL Chief General Manager Anil Jain said, "BSNL will launch 5G services on the same day as its launch at the global level."

Speaking at 2017, hosted by the Indian Body The Mobile Association Summit (TMA), Jain said that state-run telco would not miss the 5G bus like adopting 3G and 4G technologies as useless adoption.

However, the newly-built Telecom Group TMA believes that with the telecommunication testing as the forerunner of the commercial launch of 5G services, the availability of a 5G-enabled smartphone is equally important.

In February this year, BSNL and NTT Advance Technology Corporation of Japan have signed Memorandum of Understanding (Memorandum of Understanding) to support 5G test beds with their India partner Virgo Corporation.

The Center for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) said that it is important for all the stakeholders to actively support 5G mobile ecosystems to develop a strong end, VPin Solitaire, Executive Director, Development Center of Telematics (C) -DOT) said.

In March 2017, Finnish gear company Nokia has entered into an arrangement to take advantage of its global experience in 5G-related industry initiatives focusing on BSNL with software defined network (SDN) and multi-access edge computing. .

In September last year, Telecom PSU (Public Sector Enterprise) has partnered with US-based packet optical and mobile routing solutions company Corian to study and deploy 5G-based industrial internet applications for enterprise customers.

Earlier, BSNL Chairman Anupam Srivastava said that the partnership with Telko was based on sharing technical information especially in areas like waste management, health care and education.

The Delhi-based telecommunications department has already sought airwave from the Department of Telecommunications (DOT) for launching 5G in addition to 4G services in premium 700 MHz band.

Recently, a DOT panel said that airwaves can be made available immediately for 5G service in 700 MHz, 3.5 GHz, 24 GHz and 28 GHz Band.!
