The Bucegi Mountains are a wonderful natural attraction in Romania. and are a highly-concentrated section of the larger Carpathian Mountain Rang. The Bucegi is believed to be the Dacian holy mountain Kogainon, on which the God Zalmoxis resided in a cave. However, recently, the Bucegi have become newsworthy not because of their picturesque peaks or abundant wildlife but rather because of fantastical claims that it was homes to ancient giants alien, and they built secret tunnels beneath the Bucegi mountains.
There is also cable car connecting Sinaia Cota 1000 to Cota 2000.
