Bucket List Challenge - My Top Ten

My Top Ten.png

I think the Bucket List Challenge was started by @nomadicsoul. I was tagged to do it by @deerjay in this post.

Maybe it is for some, but this was not an easy list for me to come up with. I have plenty of things I would like to do but I have to consider if they rate being in the top ten things I want to do before I die.

  1. There is a cute little red house nestled in the country side of Sweden that I want to visit. My sister by pen lives there and I would very much like to meet her in person. We became pen pals over 25 years ago but have never seen each other face to face.

  2. Hubby and I are working on visiting all of the State Parks here in Indiana. I'd love to visit at least one National Forest, like Yellowstone in Wyoming. Although, I have to admit, I am a little terrified of bears and other creatures that could have me for dinner.

  3. I want to start doing a yearly vacation with my adult children. I'd like for it to be in place before any grandchildren come along. (Even though, I'd gladly take a grandchild first because I also want to experience being a grandma.) We're hoping to be able to take the first of those vacations next year.

  4. I would love for Hubby and I to travel more and take mini vacations together. I wouldn't even mind if we did it in a camper. I found one that goes into a truck bed that I'd be okay with. It's the 2018 Northern Lite 9'6" Queen Classic SE Truck Camper and it shockingly packs a ton of features in. Unlike an RV, you would be able to park this anyplace you can a car.

  5. Like @deerjay, I would love to see the Northern Lights in my lifetime. They are stunningly beautiful in photographs and video. I can only imagine that they are that much more spectacular to see in person.

  6. I am terribly afraid of heights but yet I still want to stand over the Grand Canyon and soak in all of its beauty. It also feels like it is a place full of mystery and wonder. That could just be because I have never seen anything like it.

  7. I have been a city girl since birth. Growing up, I always wanted to be right here in the city. However, life has gave me experiences that taught me to love the country and nature. So, I want to own a home in the countryside. I keep my eyes out for one reasonably priced here but so far no luck. Flippers starting buying them all up years back and they are now sold for a much higher price.

  8. I want to own and know how to properly use a professional camera with interchanging lenses. If you know me at all, you know I love photography. I've had this love since I was handed my first 110 camera when I was a teenager. I was recently told to look at used cameras and then to buy the lenses new. They said its a cheaper route to go.

  9. I would love to take just one vacation on a Tropical Island. Hawaii would do quite nicely.

  10. Lastly for my top ten, I would love to visit a Castle. Boldt Castle in New York is high on my list but I would love to see an even older one overseas. I have family roots in Ireland so it would be extra sweet to see one there.

Now, who am I going to tag? Ha! You guys know me better than that. I'm just going to say if you have not done this and want to, feel free to blame me. :D

Thank you!

Mini vacations in a truck camper is an awesome plan. Just go for it!

I'm not sure how soon we can do it in a camper but I do plan on having some mini vacations this summer. :D

Mini-vacations are a good start. Gear up for retirement!

I often thought of seeing all of the national parks.

It would be a great adventure! :D

You could combine a few of these into one mega hit.
Rent a big camper van in Ireland and bring the kids to visit the many castles there.
That little truck camper is just perfect for the two of you guys. Got everything for a couple.

That would be one fantastic trip for sure!!

My dream is to live in a house by the sea!

That is a beautiful dream and I hope you can some day.

That is a great bucket list. A lot of people go over the top thinking that everything has to be extreme, that's ok of course. It's nice to hear some grounded ideas.

I cant make a list because I never think of it, I am sure with a little pondering could come up with a few.

Thank you. Making a list was a challenge for sure but it was fun. :D

What a great idea to visit all the State Parks and a castle in Ireland. Best of luck with your list Deb. Resteemed.

It would be fun! I'm not sure I'll ever get to do all of it but I'm happy with what does come my way. :D

Excellent list @debralee!! I hope you get to meet your pen friend some day and soon and get to do everything on your list! My husband and I have been wanting to get a pop-up for camping! Lol..I knew you were going to send out an open invitation and I think that is perfectly okay!! xoxo 😊

You know me too well. lol Thanks!! xoxo

I don't think I really started thinking about a bucket list until I hit 40. But my #1 goal has always been the same- photographing Great White Sharks.

I'd love to see the photographs if you reach that goal. :D

Such an interesting list wishing you good luck and time to visit and do them all

Thank you! I should probably start playing the lottery. :P lol

LOL you and me both :)

hopefully the following year's holiday is more beautiful yes @debralee

Thank you!

terima kasih juga untuk @debralee

thanks also for @debralee

I would like be in that camper, and the fact that it can park anywhere, sold me even more! What a great list!

Thanks, yeah those campers seem great for a couple of people. :D

25 years of being friends thru pen only, wow, that something worth an experience. Seems like the lists are attainable, keep working on it. Goodluck to all of your bucketlist! ;)

Thanks! It's funny how well you can get to know someone via a pen and paper.

Northern lights is also on my top list!

I can understand why. :D

A wonderful bucket list. I'd love to go to Hawaii too:)

Thanks!

This is a great list. I can see you really love to travel. I love to travel too and I have a lot of places I want to go to

Yeah, I would love to travel more than I have been able to up to now. :D

@debralee a definite yes on the Northern Lights. I love the idea of visiting the State Parks. My husband and I have just recently started doing that. And, traveling with our adult children another big YES! I love the relationship we have as adults together and not having to parent, but just truly injoy one another's company.

Hubby and I have just been doing the State parks for a few years now. I wish I had of realized their beauty a long time ago.

Good to know your bucket lists. Mine mostly are visiting places especially the ones with beautiful nature and blue beaches with white sands. Hmm, just the thought of it excites me.

I love beaches too. :D

My dear friend,

Article 5 ranks 1st for me! :)
I want to see the northern lights too. It's really extraordinary. I hope you realize the entire list ..
When you do all this, you get great pictures :)
and we follow them

Thank you!

You definitely need to see the Grand Canyon. No picture can do it justice. It's awe inspiring!

I bet it is! :D

What a fun list. And many are so do-able without winning the lottery, as said below. Particularly the one's close to home. But one day, I hope you get to do them all. I like @molometer 's idea of getting your camper and doing a bunch here in the states, altogether, in one fell-swoop trip. Why not.
And as for the Grand Canyon, you don't have to get right on the edge, as a matter of fact, it's almost impossible, since it's so HUGE. That an be stop number 27 on the trip. Just don't toss any stones in, you might hit a donkey on the way down to the bottom ( :

I thought sure you were going to say not to toss any Christmas Trees. :P

Well, I think that rather obvious one goes without saying...wonder what the NPS would do if you did?

Thankfully our tree is as fake as you can get so I have no reason to find out. Ha!

I've yet to find a plastic one in my jaunts...but if I do, I'll surely make it famous. They just go to the attic, not the side of the road. (This year has been quiet to date. Good for the environment, bad for me and my writings. But I'm sure it will pick up, once spring arrives and the tosser's head out in their pickups. We can only hope....)
