There are two big Christmas markets in Budapest. The biggest is located at Vorosmarty square in the heart of the city. The second Christmas markets is located by the Saint Stephens Basilica. Both are fantastic Christmas markets and they are only located 500 meters from one another.

The Christmas market at the Vorosmarty square in 2019

The Christmas market at the Vorosmarty square is open every day from November 8th (2019) until January 1st (2020). It is closing around 13.00 on December 24th, but besides that, it will be open from around 10.00 until late evening every day.

The Christmas market by the Basilica

This Christmas market will also open daily around 10.00 and remain open until quite late in the evening. The market closes early only on December 24th.

The grand opening will be on November 22nd and the Christmas market will remain open until January 1st in 2020.
