Introduction

The world is undergoing a political realignment. Old alliances fragment while new contingents, previously consigned to the margins, emerge on the scene as important voting blocs. They flex their muscles, as they did in 2016—in the UK during Brexit and in the US during the candidacies of Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump, two candidates who stood symbolically, rightly or wrongly, for populist revolt against misgovernment by elites.

In the wake of these events, I have been paying close attention to the inchoate new ideological terrain and to my own political views. I have wanted to determine whether my beliefs are accurate in light of the new world that's coming into being. I have been examining the foundational suppositions of my political worldview with first principles in mind. With a renewed appetite, I have turned to old and new thinkers for insight. I have found some of my old beliefs to be wrong or inadequate. Other old beliefs I have renovated with a fresh understanding of their value.

Some of those political views I have found to be incompatible with my professed faith. I am a Buddhist in the Tibetan tradition. This blog will include not just political content but also content related to my religious ideas, as well as the flotsam and jetsam of my pseudo-intellectual musings. With unforgivable presumption, I've named myself after one of the giants of Indian Buddhist thought, the logician, epistemologist, doctor, immortality researcher, and tantric master Nagarjuna, whose incisive polemical style and knack for finding the innate contradictions in views and identities I hope to emulate here. Because he is my intellectual hero, because I am anonymous, maybe because I am full of shit, and certainly because things are unreal, I call myself Pseudonagarjuna.

Finally I am ready to add my own voice to the fertile alternative scene that has been growing online, which Eric Weinstein dubbed the Intellectual Dark Web. And what better place to do so than here, a platform pioneering the new decentralized systems of the future?
