Hey guys,

I’ve got a slightly shorter review this time, but well worth a mention nonetheless! This time we’re going to take a look at Buddy, who are looking to transform application development with their app building automation solution.

INTRODUCTION

Over time, as technology has progressed to aid more and more elements of our daily lives, humans- driven by a search for progress and maximum efficiency- have found a way to automate everything around them. This is substantially borne out of the need to get things done faster and more efficiently. People multitask a lot in today’s busy modern world, and sometimes we just need a bit of help to stay on track. This is why humans opt for machines to help carry out some of these tasks.

PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

Despite the existence of useful technology such as smartphones and computers designed to store information and make communication easier; a lot of work needs to be put in to make them carry out what we require of them. A computer, for instance, has to be instructed on what to do, using machine code, for it to understand and carry out the task we require adequately. This process consumes a lot of human resources in itself; it takes a lot of effort and resources to get the smartphone or computer to function according to human requirements and specifications. Therefore, efforts have been made to make great improvements in application development which are much more automated than current options.

The Buddy project encompasses an intelligent program which can quickly deduce the requirements of users, and can make the process of writing repetitive codes for software building automated. This process will increase the developer’s efficiency, enabling them to save time and resources. The project aims to automate the tasks carried out by developers; thus giving the entire software industry a whole new opportunity for advancement.

SPECIAL FEATURES

Buddy features;

• An automation grid for running a never-ending amount of applications.

• DevOps marketplace which is an open platform where developers can build their solutions.

• And a BlockchainOps which shows the steps to be adopted in automation pipelines.

TEAM & TOKEN DETAILS

Buddy project has about 50 team members, including Simon Szczepankowski, Buddy’s CEO, Raphael Sztwiorok the Project manager and CTO, Martin Kudla, Software Architect and Co-founder, Michael Hankus, the project’s Test Engineer, Thomas Prus, the Blockchain Solution Architect and a some other individuals who are professional blockchain analysts, strategic marketers and seasoned software developers.

The project’s Pre-ICO ran from the July 23rd, 2017, till June 30th, 2018; with a token price of 0.0002ETH and a 30% discount. The project’s ICO is expected to begin on the 1st of August and will run through to the 29th of October, 2018. The total token supply during this period will be about 670,000,000 tokens with a hard cap of 60,000ETH. 60% of the token will be distributed during the ICO, 20% and 15 % will go to the Team and Reserve Fund respectively; Advisors/Legal/Bounty will get 4% while Airdrop will be given 1%.

CONCLUSION

The Buddy project practically puts the development of applications on autopilot, through the creation of automation grid and decentralized DevOps marketplace; and if pulled off as imagined will to go a long way in changing the face of app development, on a global scale. With a solid looking team who seem confident in their mission and abilities, Buddy are looking to change the whole application development game through their innovative approach made possible by blockchain.
