How will 1 SBD change the life of a Nigerian Youth.. I am about to show you!

Currently, 1SBD is exchanged between N2,000 to N3,000 in the local Nigerian currency (Naira). For the purpose of this write up, I will take the average and peg it at N2,500.

What is the value of 1 STEEM DOLLAR daily to a Nigerian youth?

What effect will this amount have on the average Nigerian youth?

If every Nigerian youth earns N2,500 daily, he will make N17,500 weekly and N75,000 monthly in a 30 day month.

Let me show you how big this is!

The current minimum wage in Nigeria, applicable from 2011, is N 18,000/- per month, exclusive of all deductions except those specified by the law (such as income tax and pension contribution). In kind payment is also allowed if prescribed by the law or collective agreement or arbitration award.

If a youth earns 1SBD daily,he earns N75,000 monthly, this is a N57,000 increase and difference in the stipulated minimum wage..

A Nigerian Youth Corps Members earns an allowance of N19,800 monthly from the federal government. If a youth earns 1SBD daily,he earns N75,000 monthly, this is a N55,200 increase and difference in the the monthly allowance.

The N-power program of the federal government pays N30,000 monthly. 1 SBD a day gives a N45,000 difference!!

The unemployment level in Nigeria is one of the highest in the world, it is estimated that over 30 million Nigerian youths are unemployed!!

"Youth Unemployment Rate in Nigeria increased to 33.10 percent in the third quarter of 2017 from 29.50 percent in the second quarter of 2017. Youth Unemployment Rate in Nigeria averaged 21.73 percent from 2014 until 2017, reaching an all time high of 33.10 percent in the third quarter of 2017 and a record low of 11.70 percent in the fourth quarter of 2014."

This unemployment has led to the following problems

1. Increase in social unrest

2. Increased militancy

3. Oil Bunkering

4. Terrorism

5. Addictive gambling

6. Youths being used as political tools.

But..

With 1 steem dollar a day for an average Nigerian Youth, the tides will change.. There will be

1. Financial independence

2. Healthier society

3. Peace

4. Growth and development

5. Reduced crime and terrorism

#SteemVangelism is aimed at promoting steemit to youths with a focus on youth corps members who will in turn train other youths. The objective is for every youth to earn a minimum 1SBD daily for the benefit of themselves, their families and the nation.

Already.. I have spoken to a cumulative 500 youths on the steem blockchain and Steemit generally

Thanks a lot @thesimpson!
"Your fight is our fight"
That is motivating!!!

this is amazing!
Steemit can be used for so much good and truly change the lives of so many.

we take our privilege for granted as we sit in our homes on our laptops/computers, complaining about the weather being too hot/cold.

I can't possibly think to imagine what the lives of those poor youths must be like.

Thank you for sharing, this definitely deserves more attention. I have upvoted and resteemed this!

One suggestion is instead of saying the difference in N, quote a percentage increase to emphasise the true impact this could have on the youths!!

For example, instead of saying an increase of N57,000, you could say an increase of 317%

Thanks a lot for your comment, resteem and upvote @cryptoeater
There is so much that can be achieved with the steem blockchain.
I will effect the changes..

I'm going to support you in doing that!

I knew it would make a big difference in Nigeria to use Steemit but that just one SBD per day would nearl quadruple the minimum income is mind blowing! Good luck with your promotion.

Just 1SBD a day is enough!!
Thanks a lot for your comment!!

True!
Thanks for your comment!

@emmyllionaire your analysis is very accurate...
I always of the opinion that work is somewhere waiting for me if I can graduate with a very good grade (that had always been my push). But then someone I would call a mentor gave me an analysis that changed my mentality....

According to, NYSC mobilises not less than 300000 graduates annually.
Lets assume there is a government parastatal in the 36states plus FCT that employs at least 1000 graduates annually(which is not so) that means 37000 graduates get employed leaving about 263,000 unemployed annually.
A Nigeria student spends not less than 4yrs in the university, that means there is an average of (4*263,000) 1,052,000 unemployed graduates from when one gains admission to when one graduates..

This keeps reminding me that my future started yesterday and I'm already late
You wouldn't blame if I stopped investing in the library, you wouldn't blame me if I told you I brought my sewing machine to sch, you wouldn't blame me if my CGPA drops, you wouldn't blame me if I told you since I joined steem I prefer steeming than reading to pass exams only.
I actually stopped investing in the lies I was told and trying to secure my future my future with my skill and steem.

Wow! This is another awesome analysis! The future started yesterday!! Thanks for your comment!

Thank you sir

Upvoted. This is brilliant!

Thanks @kaffe
All the glory to God and steemit!!

Thank you emmyllionaire for making a transfer to me for an upvote of 2.83% on this post!

Half of your bid goes to @budgets which funds growth projects for Steem like our top 25 posts on Steem!

This post has received a 25.61 % upvote from @boomerang thanks to: @budgets

Wow!! This is huge! Thanks @boomerang
This is a great motivation..

It goes beyond getting youths on steemit you know? "Earning" the SBD is the problem. I see a lot of evangelism going on, but nothing in place to support newbies. Its a lot of work

Learn from what others are doing..

What are others doing? How do I know what others doing, what I'm saying is, it doesn't stop at making them open an account, it continues. I've been on steemit a while, I don't still understand the steemit jargons. I'm just saying anyway.

You are awesome, i have little in earning here but i could contribute to any project you guys are unto...

I appreciate you.. We are creating a separate account for steemvangelism for transparency sake.. I will keep you informed.

Great article man ...you showed it up very clearly, God bless Nigeria. I Resteemed your post .... Visit anytime and upvote ;)

Thanks a lot!! God bless you too!!

It will be great share this to everybody! The best thing about it is you for using it to save lives of others....

Thats right.. Thanks for commenting..
