‭ Founded in 2012, Ripple is 4th largest cryptocurrency with a volatile nature. It has been doing some great partnerships with AMEX , Moneygram and many other cross border payment services.
Ripple has been around since 2012 and has a strong team of developers and engineers.
Ripple is scalable! The network is capable of handling 1,000 transactions per second (50,000 off ledger), 24/7 and scale to handle the same capacity as Visa. This compares to ~3–6 per second transactions for Bitcoin and ~15 for Ether.

Ripple’s consortium was officially launched on October 2016 has 75+ global banks. These includes names like big-name clients like Bank of America, RBC, Standard Chartered, MUFG and UBS. As of July 2017, 61 Japanese banks had joined, representing over 80% of total banking assets in Japan
Ripple network can cut bank’s global settlement cost up to 60%, of which 30% would be through using ripple (although banks are not required to, this is an added incentive).
Ripple offers extremely fast payment settlement in ~4 seconds comparable to 2+ min for Ether and 1+ Hour for Bitcoin as well as to 3–5 days of traditional payment transfer systems.
Ripple has a lot of upcoming announcements such as potential partnership with VISA , adding XRP pair to some major exchanges and it was tranding around 3$ a few weeks ago and now when the market is in consolidation it’s trading as cheap as 1.30$ so it has pretty good potential to go above 2$ in a few weeks
