This post is inspired by @seadbeady's post on quilts. This is the link folks: https://steempeak.com/steemitmamas/@seadbeady/where-to-find-the-best-quilt-kits
I do not know how to sew. I mean, seriously. I don't. I do not know why I dreamt of someday creating my very own quilt and, I ended up doing this.
Why hearts? I was trying to figure out what would I make this near Valentine's Day week and, I just went for the heart quilt thing.
On this post, I am basically walking you through how I created individual "quilt" designs.
The first thing that I did is use a "cookie" cutter to make a uniform quilt size. Yes. This came from the kiddie section.
I am still using air clay and, these might be one of the last batch that I made from my stock. I am really intimidated- I am not going to use the term challenge because, I have limited supply and, the colors do not really complement each other.
I cut different colors because I wanted them to have a chance to dry up a bit before I proceed designing on them.
First design:
This one came from the baking section of the grocery store here. No. I am not using this as an alternative cookie cutter- in case anyone is interested to know. This is exclusively used for my crafting purposes.
Design number 2:
Hearts with glitter:
Get a container where you can place some glitter safely......
I recommend doing this while the clay is still "wet." The glitter will stick to it easily. TRANSLATION: if you want to save on paste, do as I say!
Another "design:"
I still have a lot of designs and, I am dividing this again because, I had that same problem again.
I want to do what Trin had been teaching me but, I feel exhausted folks. I am still trying to recover from a tiring week.
