Beggar or Builder, You Decide

in build •  6 years ago

I don’t judge anyone, I don’t judge myself either

Our Blockchain is like a Digital Land

It has unlimited opportunities to build anything you want, if you want to build something by yourself then you must deploy some kind of capital

If you’re not building then help the people who’re building something

If you decide to Beg then keep on begging for life

Sorry I just wanted to speak my mind today, because some people have good begging formula

Whenever money is involved, there will always be people begging for financial aid. I have never been good at asking people for help, not even when I've been in desperate situations... It doesn't matter how much it hurts or how much I suffer, I will never rely on others to solve my problems.

That being said, I would obviously appreciate any help I got, but I want that help to be something I gain due to what I have given others. I want that help to be something I get due to what I have previously achieved, accomplished or done for others, at some point. And most importantly, I want everything to be natural and not forced. I want it to be an action of kindness rather than something that others would feel obligated too or forced into.

On Steem however, some people have systematically started to use "begging-approaches"... And worst part is that it works to some extent. It's also easier to beg or ask for help when you do it online, wihtout having to look into someones eyes.

Steem is like a goldmine for unethical, selfish, greedy and manipulative behaviour.

I even saw a post earlier today shamelessly begging for fund to buy items and the funny thing is that these people aren't dedicated to steem

Yeah, I've seen those too... It's a shame.

I would love to buy some stuff too, so feel free to donate whatever you can! ;)

When you beg you’re shorting yourself

It means you’re under valuing yourself

It’s create poor mindset

Hope one or two people who might read this will Learn something

Definitely I've been in so many situation where I needed help but I'll never beg, better to maintain your relevance and work hard yourself on the blockchain really, you've sent a very powerful message @nathanmars really

First of all, Thank you so much for great feedback

I want everything to be natural and not forced.

Me too, where as some people like my partner, certain amount of push necessary

I’m identifying many people’s systematic begging approach and I’ll just try to reduce what they milk from our Blockchain

I’ll just try to reduce what they milk from our Blockchain

I have done many different things on Steem since I arrived here. I have tried to please people around me with upvotes and I have sent some of the beggars both Steem and SBD, straight to their wallets.

I co-launched the @asapers project, with focus on the newcomers and the "little guys" on Steem. I also ran a "push people"-initiative to make minnows, in an attempt to create something that could eventually resemblance a middle class on Steem. I did these things in attempts to please my audience and the people on Steem... Unfortunately, due to various reasons both of these inititaives were cancelled.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances in life, I've been literally forced to power down my stake, but I've never given up hope of contributing and building something that will last. The most recent commitment of mine is the Let's Make 250 New Minnows in a Month, where I'm involved as one of the team members.

My wallet might be small or be almost non-existent in terms of value, but I'm not worried about any of that, because I know that Steem gives me the opportunity to build everything up again. What matters to me, is to build our foundation so that everyone can enjoy the ride. When that is done, rewards will come for all of us.

The sad part of all of this, is that so many people out there are doing everything they can to fill their own pockets today, without a single thought of anything except for themselves or the future of Steem. They allow greed and selfishness to steer their actions. Beggars are doing basically the same thing, and it doesn't really matter how much you try to educate them or teach them... But I won't give up.

In any economy we need

More builders than beggars

Let’s focus more on the building less on beggars

I’m finding ways to how to use these beggars to build STEEM ecosystem

That is so true. We need more builders than beggars. We would be better off without the beggars, lol. But that's also why I'll continue my efforts to educate these people.

I like your 777-twitter project. I think it's something that will bring more eyeballs towards Steem and it inspires and motivates people to be part of, so keep it up! :)

Nathan, your energy is admired. Keep being an inspiring tourch for this community!

Thank you :)

I remember when you approached me with the road to 300 sp.

you said it best back then man. it’s time to get some skin in the game!!

completely agree with you! build build and build some more!

Money does not fix problems long term. Self improvement does. You need to grow and learn to build on what you already have . Not just do the same thing every day and wonder why your not getting anywhere.

Exactly, self improvement is the way forward:)

It can be tough to go through or make a difference for thyself and for someone else as well. Some will get the real meaning of life while some will just keep on loosing it .
Don't be sorry brother you said what you wanted to, hope someone gets the real meaning from it !!

Hey @nathanmars you said exactly correct that people have to decide about their participation role whether they are going to build something or to support them who are already in process. Neutral participation is not a good thing and have to clear the stand.
Nice thought. 👍

You are absolutely right sir, there are many one, they think that they are very cleaver, because they are begging something very cleverly, they are trying to presenting it in various way, that he is not begging for help, but the intention of his presentation is begging for help.

I feel for the folks who don’t have English as their primary language and who are impoverished. I admire them for their lack of entitlement and their motivation to make a dollar.

That being said, I am loath to give away handouts to those who will never do anything significant with them. I also hate the though that you can code up a reply bot and spam the blockchain.

Be genuine and put some though into replies and engagement. Begging will win you very little stake here.

Wow this isn't good in any way, I think building that's a tough process but it definitely pays dividends at the end, the truth is begging only guarantees a short while and this is laziness really, thanks for pointing this out

It's humanity, you know? Just humanity... Don't worry, Bro... Steem on!

It’s human nature and let’s show our brothers and sisters a better way to beg :)

That's higher advanced option you showing to community.
Everytime need to build up and don't need to be beggar.
Build up is positive part and beggar wanna negative part. Please select positive path forever.

Brother is sad for any reason I think you are suffering because of something. Otherwise you would not have used to write such a thing suddenly.

It is really tragic that despite some of the capabilities of some people, they do not want to use it. They want to move forward very quickly with the help of others. It's a shameful begging. It is not shameful for those who do not want to do anything with respect. Come on, try to do something yourself, honorably.

Remember one thing Beggars are always richer than the one who's working sincerely :) . But those money are of no use because it does not have a taste of Hustle.

We will Build or become rich through our Hustle 💪💪😊😊

@nathanmars, keep on building and hustling, bro!
