How to build discipline ourselves

Have you been watching the people around you and to admire their tenacity and perseverance, asks ATITYUD ? Ask yourself: "How to lose weight, I started to do exercises to become more organized; to write a great novel, etc? "

The story repeats itself. Suppose every one of us knows what to do and does it for a while, but the energy quickly quenches, the motivation is getting weaker and so we lose interest. We often say it's not worth it or it's too much effort ... "I can try some other time!"

We speak as if there are countless opportunities ahead of us.

In his book "How to overcome the hundred most common self-destructive attitudes," Dr. David Lieberman cited as the main reason for this lack of discipline. The fact is that we are born disciplined, it is a skill that is developed and cultivated. It takes much more than a momentary desire to implement discipline. It is a matter of training the mind. When the alarm clock rings in the morning and we pulled over his head, we learn mind of laziness. When you need to do important work, but instead decide to watch TV or to check what is happening with our friends on Facebook, learn mind of sloth.

Dr. Lieberman gives a few pointers that might help us in the process of building discipline in ourselves:

Adoption of the discipline as a game
Discipline is not something that can be turned on and off. The subject is a mental muscle that needs to be trained to be able to serve us. A good option is to develop a system of rewards and penalties to motivate us to stick to our decisions. If jumping from bed early in the morning is painful, promise that if you do not get out of bed for up to 5 minutes after calling your alarm clock, you will get an ice cold shower that same morning.

A good option is placing on the lev in a jar every time you late for work. Collect enough money, we can draw his colleagues in the office with pizza, etc.

This is a negative, but when it comes to the opposite side of the coin are all quite creative.

2.Failure is not an excuse for giving up discipline

Nobody is perfect. Discipline is not something once, it consists of decisions and actions. With the help of our lives has the necessary structure. However, it is important to set priorities during the day and the energy to be directed to them. If your head have a clear purpose and are focused, discipline is easy.
