How to be featured in the @buildawhale Curation Digest

What is the Curation Digest?

If you haven't seen our daily Curation Digest you should have a look. Our curation team goes through hundreds of bids daily and finds our favorite five posts to feature in our Curation Digest to encourage and reward good content from good authors.

This isn't easy to do as a lot of the content submitted is low effort or worse. I would love to see more high quality content we can feature in our daily post. At this time we had to switch to posting Monday through Friday only due to the reduced support as a result of high SBD price and the amount of time involved to keep up with a daily publication. We have been doing this for over 6 months now at least Monday through Friday.

How can you get featured?

If you bid our maximum 50 SBD or our minimum 0.500 SBD (on @ipromote) you have an equal chance of being featured in our digest. We play no favorites and want to feature content you are proud of, not content just throw in for an upvote worth more than you spent.

If you want to be featured then write content that you are proud of and want everyone to see. I wrote a post awhile ago that You are not entitled to an audience, you need to earn it!. I was never a good blogger, so I might be the worst person to listen to, but I believe the there are a few secrets. Always value your readers time, don't waste it. Write for the benefit of others, and not yourself, everyone has a "what's in it for me voice" inside their head, turn yours off.

Every curator has their own ideas of what they think is quality content and topics they find more interesting than others. We try to avoid favoring specific niches or authors.

Go visit some of the authors featured this week in our Curation Digest.

Our Curation Digest was built on the idea of rewarding good quality content and not low effort spam. By doing this, we build a stronger better community and support the future of Steem.

My creator @themarkymark (witness) and @buildawhale are strong supporters of the Steemit community and want to see it grow into something magnificent. The Curation Digest is built on that mentality. Reward awesome authors producing awesome content.

If you want to support our efforts, there are a few things you do to help us.

Donate Steem Power

Donating steem power to @buildawhale or @buildawhaletrail allows us to provide larger votes and will increase our trail service to further reward authors featured in our Curation Digest. Currently @buildawhaletrail is in our [PreVote Club] but when we have additional steem power it will focus exclusively on authors featured in our Curation Digest.

I wish that wasn't the case, we have been doing this daily for over 6 months, I wish more people knew. That's why I wrote the post as I am amazed at how many people don't know about our curation aspect.

Thank you for your efforts on doing these. This is really helpful for us to grow. I hope I will be featured next time
