What about @Craig-Grant? I guess he hasn't used bots yet?

Done

lol

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

your power is scary my friend but your using it well these people have no right to hurt our community and profit from it.

I really don't have any power, just try to do what I can to make things better.

Just wondering but how do you have the power to do this? I'm just wondering since I'm new to steem @themarkymark. Thanks

My bots, my rules.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Guess what, trevonjb delegated all his power to upmewhale :)

https://steemit.com/bitconnect/@tngflx/trevon-james-found-new-way-to-earn-money

Good on you sir. Send these scammers to the steemit dungeon.

I want to quote a great person (Carlos Matos): I loooooooooooooooove bitconneeeeeeeeeeeeect! :D

Looking on the trending page.. yes, you are right..
spam and scams up there:
https://steemit.com/steemit/@joeparys/01lobxp1
That is advertisment. A paywall for Steem info..just.. wow..

No doubt! I think this post says it all: https://steemit.com/dtube/@joeparys/mkkseqp9
The title states, "How to Earn $3200 on DTube", then after clicking the link he proceeds to beg for upvotes, and nothing else is said. The video is junk too, click bait.

Excellent Responsibility in the community to address the bad actors. Thank you Steemians!

Check out my edited parody of his most recent video below! He seems to be losing it!

https://steemit.com/steemit/@volfenhauser/v1dzomde

He still has posts worth $50-$100, get him @berniesanders !! We dont need filth clogging up Steemit!

Thank you both I knew the whales would step in!

Lol. Sycophant.

Off topic, but this number to the right of your username - I never knew it can be negative... What did you do?

He's made it a point to be a corrosive a force here as possible. Getting that low is a real accomplishment.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Is there a synopsis of steem drama anywhere? Seems like I have a lot to catch up to.

He got into a fight with @haejin. And @haejin whale buddies. But he was negative before that also.

He doesn't deserve a voice on this platform. I hope he ends up serving time for promoting that ponzi. I'd be downvoting him if I had a little more weight on this platform. Nice that there are some good whales out there like yourself @berniesanders

Where do you find the time in your day for activities other than sucking up?

He is a scammer and I don't defend anyone at this point trying to defend his actions and follow him like a sheep nor do I feel bad that they lose their money.

@BernieSanders watch this guy @bartcardi in the next week when he cashes in his massively self-upvoted post. Most of it is just copy and paste and certainly not worth the money. He could become the next Haejin.

Exactly- this is my first time hearing about @buildawhale I like it!

1FD44DDC-1CC0-4361-AC75-B9C376C9D412.gif

Will be blacklisting him from using @booster also.
Your reasoning makes perfect sense to our company.

This is a good thing. This guy, and others like him, offer no real insight into crypto currency or the issues surrounding it. They merely used their personality to pump a scam. I congratulate you for barring them from using your tools to do it again.

Put this guy in jail!

well said.. @jsteem

I figured it out ! LOL Is this all cuz he's black with money and you lost a lot of your money and you all Caucasians...lml good for yall followers...cuz all I see is yall saying the two darkskin guys are to blame and need to go to jail but I've seen the bitconnect grandma (Caucasian), i've seen a guy named john (Caucasian), Kevin (Caucasian) I could provide links for you chauvinistic bastards if you want. But they are all Caucasian and no one not one person is saying put them in jail or stop them or that they are scammers... but hey if you could, I know you tighty whities would turn steemit and crypto currency into the definition of Caucasian power uckily there isn't enough of yu to win at anything. Don't attack my people it's unethical and tasteless.

I like this one!))

Keep these scammers off this platform. They could completely ruin it with their bad names.

I feel for all of those who lost money ( I was one of them )... but I'm not sure how I feel about censorship on steem. The whole idea is that we avoid centralized censorship by large groups. There's also the side of if the community agrees that a certain individual is not productive that we should ban said person. It's a very complicated issue ...

I know we are trying to evolve our system of beliefs with regards to ethics.

All rules of ethics do not carry the same weight. I think that certain rules of ethics are what I call Prime Rules. For instance, 'do not allow anyone to harm you or others if you can prevent them'.

This fear of censorship is starting to sound, to me, like the blanket answer for all dissenting voices, "You are being a racist", even if it has nothing to do with race.

If someone is using the platform to harm others (whether it is for his profit or not, since there are many motivations) all I think is important is that we ask ourselves, "What would be the decent thing to do." (Being Decent is also one of my Prime Rules - but most of the world seems to have fogotten what being decent is).

If someone is causing harm, we must stop that person, whatever his or her race, but it is also important we debate the reasons we took such action. If you see harm being done, you do not first stop to take a few years considering whether you should take action, or then you - each person harmed after you recognised the harm being scattered about you - become partly responsible for the harm caused. In a way, your silence and lack of will to stop him, is or could be said to be a form of aiding and abetting.

He - or they - are not being stopped, they are still free to cause harm, but without the aiding and abetting of "thearkymark' and his tool 'buildawhale'. It is not only his right to stop his tool being used by any of us, it is also his duty, if he wants to live with his good conscious.

Question though? Did he force people to invest? No he didn't. Did he say there were risks involved and it could crash? Yes he did. Were people stupid enough to invest a lot of money into a program that was dependent on people buying BCC to keep the price high to make the platform work? Yes they were. You can't only blame Trevon.. all he did was promote it. People followed him because most people are sheep.

If you are promoting a Ponzi scheme, you are a shithead. Doesn't matter if the people that followed were sheep. Your action of promoting a Ponzi makes you a shithead. He was and still is.

You would have made a great private at the gas ovens in Auschwitz. I didn't order anyone in, I just strongly suggested it would be in their best interest, not my fault if the sheep fell for the lies that were told.

"If you are promoting a Ponzi scheme, you are a shithead."

Can you prove he knew? Plenty didn't.

Intent is very relevant. Look up mens rea.

He did remove all his bitconnect videos from the channel. Don't be naive, he was buddies with @craig-grant.

Except the only difference wasn’t Trevon wasn’t telling the truth and people decided to gamble their money. Where your “ aushwitz reference is completely wrong since it wouldn’t be in there best interest so that would be a false promise.

The guy Made a lot of money and a lot of people lost a lot of money. That’s life brother. Just can’t be so small minded with your thoughts.

Someone needs to get minnowbooster to blacklist him to as he is making money from them everyday. Bitconnect scammers not wanted here!

BitConnect ended a long time ago already, and the guy obviously isn't in prison. Do you think it is your place to make justice happen? With the limited amount of information that you received about the subject? You really are a nazi

@buildawhale great move ! Scammers don't deserve such a platform for there scams !

Webp.net-gifmaker (1).gif

LOL

Thanks for the upvote ^^ appreciate it :)

I totally agree mark, trevonjb and craig-grant are charlatans who screwed everybody for personal profit. They represent everything that is wrong with our crypto-community, shameless shills.

CGmeme.jpg

holy crap is that really him?

YEP! Just like the meme says... smh.

If you are not familiar with BitConnect, there are plenty of videos out there that will bring you up to speed. I never paid any attention to it but you can't help to hear about it now.

really, i never heard about bitconnect till it crashed. should i say i was lucky not to have heard of it, because i am sure that i would have been lured into investing in it.

Trevon James is a big supporter and promoter of BitConnect and directly resulted in thousands of people losing millions if not more. I don't want any part of him doing that here and have blacklisted his account.

wow this is a sad news as i just got to know about @trevonjb recently and was beginning to really like him. i am new to steemit and blockchain and so didnt really know what was going on.

but if i may ask, what is the implication of blacklisting an account on steemit?

He is not blacklisted on Steemit, I have no power to do that, neither does anyone, not even Steemit Inc.

What I did was blacklist him from using my bid bots, which means he will not be able to use them to promote his posts. I don't control all the bots, so he will still have bots to promote his message, but I don't want any part of it.

aha, so it's your bots >< I wasn't sure if the bots were yours or his. I guess I should have figured out he can't make bots tho O_o

Thanks for explaining. I was starting to think that there is some kind of blacklist on Steemit that I did not know about.

@themarkymark. Thank-you very much for clearing up this point, which I think wasn’t clear enough in your blog.

I think you are doing the right thing.

I would not want to associate myself in any way with someone who puts up affiliate links to schemes which he ought to have known was a ponzi as thousands of people told him that in their comments on youtube and steemit.

Despite the vengence and hatred being directed at him, for the last scheme, it is astonishing that he has started promoting something which looks very similar.

If you are caught out once, you know what to expect the second time.

His defence on the first one could be “I was stupid. I didn’t know people would blame me.” Now he knows, yet he continues. I wonder how his wife now feels?

Great point.

I hope others follow your example. I'd vote for you as a witness but I have already done it. Keep up the good work. Did you hear how he deleted all the bitconnect videos from his channel? Must be feeling the heat.

Yeah, it's important to always be wary of people advocating a product. It's why reading up on it from more than one source is key. I read up on Steemit before investing and read some analysis claiming it was a Ponzi. I ended up disagreeing with the analysis, but I think it's important to read from people who like and hate something before investing in it.

You can join here and invest zero dollars and make money. I have never seen a Ponzi or pyramid scheme like that.

Money has to flow in for you to take money out. Think about that for a moment.

Highly recommend throwing @cryptovestor a follow. Sober, non-sensational analysis. He’s been calling Bitconnect a Ponzi scheme for months.

Blacklisting just means he can’t buy upvotes for his posts from that bot.

He definetely sounds like that. But his content lacks in-depth information and most of his video's consist about rambling and guessing about stuff. In my opinion he gets to much recognition for his content.

I disagree with some of those points as I feel I have gained value from watching his videos. However, I never just take any creators content at face value be it @cryptovestor or @louisthomas. Doing your own research in this space is critical.

exactly who blames the people that are making money the same way as you and loosing the same way you loose on the same paltform it's just crazy that people would want to throw someone in jail who clearly tells you not to take their advice and do your own due diligence before investing...smh smart man right here you are part of the 1% in crypto who actually think for themselves. thumbs up!!

Pertinent questions...

I am not saying that an individual shouldn't take flak for promoting a bum brand, but I personally believe that there is a difference between disallowing him from using bots to promote his voice - and running him off of Steemit entirely.

I looked at it when a colleague recommended it, and I thought it looked like a scam. A month later, they're shut down. Nice to know my gut feelings still work as they should!

there's nothing wrong with @travonjb these are angry Caucasians who lost money... I invested in Bitconnect I don't blame anyone but myself same as on here if I invest here and I loose my money who do I blame every person on the platform? Its just stupid cuz if you notice there are a bunch of videos by other people doing and saying the same thing but they (Caucasians) are choosing to pick on travon and criag simply because they're Negros and the only thing Caucasians hate more than their own women is "Minorities" with money ask them they'll tell you.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

I fully support your decision.

@trevonjb is a plague on the cyrpto universe.

He scam thousands of people out of their money, possibly ruining the crypto space for these people.

I believe and according to his facebook group and exposed emails that he was well informed on when and how bitconnect would die.

He didn't lose his bitcoin... everything out of his mouth is a lie.

I am waiting to see the Youtube ads telling everyone that he own multiple lamborghinis but it is the bookshelves that he is really proud of, join my site to learn more. (whats that guy... you know the guy) lol

scammer is always going to be a scammer, the more we can push people like this away from the crypto community the better off we will be.

Thank you so much Themarkymark

I lost small amount of money because of bitconnect 😠😂

I hope @trevonjb and @craig-grant power down and disappeared along with @yuliana she was a promoter too. She should go to jail as well for scamming people.

I lost out on BitConnect, damb crypto nick sucked me in. I knew it was high risk though!
I do agree we need a bot focused on downvoting these individuals, and submitting them into blacklists for pushing obvious ponzi.

This man should get zero audience at this platform. But I trust in the overall consensus of this community that scammers wont get influence here.

At some point he will get more hate than love, just because someone's true face will always be revealed at a certain moment.

Isn't the whole point of steem to stop censorship. I don't necessarily agree with trevon and craig but I feel like this censorship bs is getting dumb.

How is it censorship? He is free to shit post, shill, and bullshit people, I just will not allow my bot to be used to promote it.

Some people have lost of their entire wealth in scams like bitconnect and davorcoin. I just want to say i feel so sorry for them. Remember always do your own research before investing in cryptos

Me too. It's so important to read up on stuff before you put your money into it. There are many people out there looking to part your money from you.

Yeah @themarkymark for witness!! Thats all I need to see. You are helping the whole crypto space.

You are obviously giving him more publicity by mentioning him.(I actually just checked his wall )

seems like all the bitconnect morons have moved on to pump steem. good looking out.

Its a good thing when steemians begin to step in to look out for one another. Am sure as regards to this your posts a lot of people have being saved from being victims to his scam. good one.

HAHAHAHAHA !! GET REKT !!!!index.jpg

Thanks for looking out. But what does this even mean?
I'm assuming that one uses bots to boost their own upvotes. But if you guys know which accounts are bots, why can't you get rid of them?

I bet BINANCE is next.

Binance, davor, all those idiotic coins with impossible returns.

thank god someone has finally banned him. Hope he doesn't start some other dodgy schemes.

This was the only right thing to do! People like him are a danger to the system and have to be stopped. I really hope the rewards for his spam posts will decrease.

I lost money with bitconnect - But Im does not too bother about it because I know it was a risky investment and I only invest what I am willing to lose,

I am new to steemit just did my into post today so I don't know what @buildawhale is yet but I followed and I will find out with further research :D

Screw both those guys.

Yeah.. I subscribe to @trevonjb YouTube channel and his tutorials and tips has been helpful so far

After seeing what he's doing using minnow booster to print basically "free money" for him and then using that money to use bots to upvote his posts is just an all-time low to me. I've been watching him off and on for the past few months out of interest, but for someone that claims to think this site is so awesome is at a point now where he's just leaching off Steemit to make up for his bitconnect losses. Thanks for blacklisting him!

I doubt he made any real losses with bitconnect.

What? NO he made millions..and probably lied about loosing 110 BTC...still holds tons of cryptos.

110 BTC is a big profile. If it's a lie, it's a big lie.

I doubt he lossed any money either, but he lost that revenue stream.

I’m sure this is the first time a user has come outright to say “here are the mechanics of Steemit I’m going to use to exploit for my own gain”. It’s kind of gone unsaid but noticed until now.

Craig Grant is notorious for being one of the worst self-voters on this site. Surprised that these two are connected to a huge scam? I'm not.

Maybe you've heard of Crypto Nick as well?

Great job @themarkymark.

Everyone who has been in the Crypto World for some Time knows what @trevonjb has done.

Basically, he with some friends reaped around tens and thousands of People and earned their money from Referrals.

He made a lot of Money from referrals.

Wow. I have been really enjoying your content and opinions here on Steemit, @themarkymark. TrevonJB seemed alright, but I didn't know to much about this BitConnect stuff. Thanks so much for looking out for me and everyone else. It really means a lot.

I assume you watched Castle?

Good job on banning trevonjb here.. I was one of the ppl who signed up under him on bitconnet.. luckily as I was new to crypto then and
I only invested 100$ as I was not sure how long bitconnet will last.. sadly it shut down before I could get my investment out..

Good work, he is a proven con artist

i lost money cuz that fucker!!!

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Oh please YOU lost money YOU made your own decisions. Why can't any of you take responsibility for your own actions?

well i didn't know i invested in a Ponzi scheme, smart ass, i only lost less then 100 dollars so i'm really not that pissed but some people really put their savings into this, yea we made our decisions....it's a gamble. but they knowingly did this! did you notice all the PR the months b4 they took the money and ran? prying on the weak, and your defending these actions? and of the bunch of people on here complain you wanna single me out.....a real bad ass you are

Great to see some action to Send Trevon a strong message! Steam is such a powerful platform, scammers and ponzi scheme peddlers are not welcomed.
If Trevon is truly sorry for what he did, he should give back the commission's he made off the back of people who signed up to Bitconnect under him.

Way to step up and show the community @buildawhale does not support scams and spam.
Nice @berniesanders

"I believe giving him a voice here by using bots is bad for the community and the future of Steemit."

Yes i agree. Good post thanks for sharing, bitconnect was a scam and now they appear to have added an x to the name and restarted a scam.

Bitconnect office London so send complaints about any company in London to Financial Conduct Authority, Citizen Advice Bureau, Fraud Office Met Police, just google and you will get the sites and easy online forms to fill in online.

If everyone complains then action will be taken faster by the authorities, dont think " leave it to someonelse..." do it now and complain about any scams even if you not based in UK as long as Ltd Co is based London you can complain and get the scum shut down

This post has received a 6.53 % upvote from @booster thanks to: @themarkymark.

I totally agree with this decision. This is why I support you as witness! We need to keep steemit clean and scam free. Now we just need minnowbooster to do the same and blacklist him. I couldn't believe it when I saw him in trending yesterday. It is well known that he has scammed many with the BitConnect Ponzi scheme. Thank you @themarkymark for your vigilance!

I hope others can follow your lead!!!

thank you!

Craig Grant vanished from YouTube

Thank you sir for having our backs, such persons should not be allowed to roam around on a serene community like steemit

good. get that piece of shit out of here. his account should be siezed and distributed to fellow steemians.

It's good most people on here have morals and values like yourself. Hopefully he wont be able to shove a smartphone up his ass before he goes to jail, and continue to rape the rewards pool. Trevon B. Is gonna have to change his name to Bubba's B. A.K.A. Bubba's Bitch lol.

I'm not defending Trevon because I dont know what he's doing exactly, but isnt the strategy of using the bots encouraged here basically? He had a good amount of Steem from the beginning ie bought himself power and he's using it to make money .. isnt that the name of the game here? I'm bummed that Steemit doesnt focus much on content or brain trust, as it claims, but is focused more on gaming the system .. Look at @haejin or many others with multiple posts daily .. making money while Steem is up ... it ticks me off but it seems like that is a big part of why Steem exists .. am I wrong?

He is using money gained as a result of scamming others. I will not support promoting him using anything I have control of.

Okay I understand that. When I see users claiming they can ban other accounts and "mess with" your account .. I guess whales and powerful players can shut down accounts? I didnt know that. Using flags is very tricky in an anarchic space and easily gets out of control. I dont know how to deal with problematic users, but I worry that "innocent" accounts can be flagged by powerful users just to show they have power. As a newbie minnow, I find that troubling.

No one can shut down accounts, they can only flag your posts/comments.

Sorry, but that is not entirely true. You can be shut down "in effect" by being flagged to zero Rep. It is a threat that keeps many silent. All you have to do is take a look at #hendrix22 and his wife #lyndsaybowes (they are homesteaders, without wealth); they are losing all their income from steemit because they are fighting to stop misuse of steemit and their target has the power to bring therir posts down to zero. If you check his post (you will first have to click "SHOW"), you will see many of smaller Rep supporting him and then being flagged (to zero or not), so others just keep quiet. The bad guy, his flag is almost worth $70, plus he has more than one account, so not many can counter such an attack.

That is the problem with Steemit. Because we are on blockchain, when I complain about censorship (because a whale does not believe in something being posted) I am told, censorship is not possible. Same with being shut down: EFFECTIVE censorship and shutting of accounts by killing of their Rep or income is just as bad as the real thing and it causes the loss of some very good posters and people from Steemit.

I have never been caught up in the drama or been targeted by anyone on Steemit. You know what works for me? I don't waste time getting caught up in the drama at the risk of being targeting by anyone on Steemit. You'd be surprised how well minding your own business can keep you out of trouble.

I don't usually speak up in these conversations, but this has nothing to do with bots. Trevon James promoted Bitconnect like crazy, an obvious Ponzi scheme, and profited off scamming countless people before it dumped, leaving everyone but a select few or the earliest adopters holding the bag. The whole thing with Haejin is nothing like this, because although Haejin is reaping a TON of daily rewards, he's technically not breaking any rules (thus leading many to believe the rules need to be changed somehow), but Trevon is literally a scammer.

Having known scammers on steemit is bad for business.

Discooonnneeccttt where is carlos matos?

Yes let's stop this before it gets to be too big of a problem

It is true that if he continues to be on steemit it might even eventually give steemit a bad image.

Great call! Fully support!

I'm not a fan of trev but isn't "don't invest more than you are willing to lose" a thing? Can't really blame youtubers for people making poor investment choices imho.

"Can't really blame youtubers for people making poor investment choices imho."

Perhaps not entirely, but would you not agree that someone who promotes a poor investmwnt knowingly should carry some responsibility?

@themarkymark is simply saying he finds what was done to be dishonest and as such does not wish to let him use his service.

promotes a poor investmwnt knowingly

Key word knowingly which people don't seem to care about proving or care is relevant.

And furthermore it also still wouldn't absolve others of their own responsibility, yet you find people saying people like Trevon losing their money they chose to put in as if they were forced.

It's also a rule not to carry too much cash on you at any one time, you going to pat a mugger on the back for mugging you for it?

this isn't even comparable. lol

(lol)

Interesting perspective, but you don't go into a whole lot of what he did wrong. For those inaware, perhaps there's more to this?

There are plenty of videos and talks about it, didn't seem critical to rehash it here. Others have said it much better than I can.

Fuckin A!!! Scammers must not be empowered to perpetrate scams. Dude is shameless especially after the scam, acting like nothing happened. I would have crawled into a hole and just die if i were to lose people so much money and destroyed as much lives as he had. We are dealing with enough unsavory people on this platform enough as it is.

bold

I lost money with bitconnect like a lot of other people a lot of money by the way. I do not blame him even tho I watched his videos. I do not think censorship is the way to go. I got into crypto, because having the control to make the decisions of doing what i please with my money good or bad. I made a bad decesion and trevon may have made some videos showing what he was earning, but he did not make my decesions I did.

It really boils down to this - - It is your vote and you may do with it as you like. Does not matter that you run it as an upvote bot, and use it to make money. If You chose to sell your votes, that is your business. If you choose not to sell to someone, then as long as it is not for the wrong reason, that too is your business. However, it is a business. You charge for the services. As far as I know he has not been convicted of a crime. Refusing service to an individual or a group of individuals based on non-criminal convictions is a crime in most locals in the United States of America. Yes I know the bakeshop fiasco was eventually overturned by the Supreme Court. Do you think that restored their business? "The Right to refuse service" of old has been pretty much washed out into the streets, and owners are no longer allowed to decide who they want as customers.
It is a tough call, and as a business owner, I am sure it was doubly so for you, then throw on top of that your witness status, not an easy call at all on your part.

I can definitively say that I do not like Trevon James. Not for the reason that you would expect.

Let me explain.

Because Trevon James had a very prominent Youtube channel, many of the Youtube stars knew about him.

The most prominent rival that I seen develop was the "beef" between him and Doug Polk.

Now, I am not entirely sure how Trevon James began his Youtube career, but I can definitely say that Doug Polk started his career as a poker player first, then moved over to Youtube to develop another stream of income.

With that said, Doug Polk, based off of what he stated on his Doug Polk Crypto channel, was already using crypto well before the market exploded and went parabolic.

Lets get to the point about why I dont like Trevon. Because of Trevon's seemingly baseless knowledge of Doug Polk, his views about Doug Polk made absolutely no sense.

Trevon continuously bashed Doug for reviewing his process of recruiting his viewers to invest into Bitconnect.

Although Trevon did make money using other means, a great portion of the money Trevon made was through referalls.

There is a definite conflict of interest with that system and Doug Polk pointed that out.

What this post tells to someone who got here yesterday, and knows who the guy in question is from Doug Polk videos: I have no idea what precisely you are talking about, but I'm guessing trevon should not be allowed to grow on this network (I figured that whale is a popular user), after what he did with his followers on youtube - that's fine, I agree with that. I'm not sure if you are the one running an upvote bot, and you are letting us know you've tweeked is so now it won't be upvoting trevon, or if you're saying he's using upvote bots to scam the platform and that you are saying he should be stopped?

Can someone explain what it means to blacklist someone's account? I hit hide on his account last night after I've seen his post "this network is treating me better than all the others", and I felt disappointed to see his gloating post pretty much as soon as I've joined here :(

What does blacklisting do, and is there a way to warn those who don't know him to stay away from him?

I always thought bitconnect was a scam and couldn't wait for it to go down i just didnt think trevon was but i see now that he was also. So im now thinking all of the lending platforms are scams so stay away from davorcoin and all of them. Im sticking to bitcoin baby. I just did my first post talking about crypto being dangerous i hope it helps a few people out there but i dont think i will be seen before more people fall into the crypto trips, i started to follow you cant wait for the next one

I was already pumped up on Steem currency and now that I have joined here this shows me a quality community. We have morals in life and a sense of fairness that goes beyond what is or is not legal. In this case you used fantastic judgement and put the community before money. As a progressive let me say you run my kinda business. Soon as Polo gets my Steem here I will be using you're services. I m old but want to learn new tricks. clapping hands.png

but why are you flagging comments? this community doesnt allow to speak truth anymore? @themarkymark

I flagged two comments, one was asking for support in my personal threads which I have said many times I do not want, we have a Discord where they can ask and he had a vote which he didn't even bother to check. The second was a pro-Trevon James comment and supporting his actions which cost thousands of people millions of dollars in losses.

I downvoted both with a tiny downvote to voice my disagreement but didn't take any rewards or rep away.

These guys are the scum of the Youtube crypto world. Is it worthwhile to flag their posts or does this buildawhale thing just smash them to bits?

Always there is a plan B and second way.

ouch!

what are some crypto youtubers that you are following?

None.

ohhh myy. protect the children hahah

Good lookin out for the steemit community! Thank you..

Probably a good call.

Not probably. I have been posting about this. You do not want those scams on steemit and its rapes the reward pool.

YES, YES, YES

Thank-you for stopping Steemit from becoming the next bitconnect Ponzi scheme.
Let these douche bags drop there money else where.

I've been trying to 'out' a few likely suspects myself.

Keep fighting a good fight.

nobody support scams

You would be surprised.

Just magnificent post dear sir :) just wonderful post
thanks for sharing with us

@upvoted

Nice community show.i realy proude.

There is really a great lot of things to learn about bitcoin. I've really been looking for an enlightenment about the whole makeup of bitcoin. I really appreciate the videos. Thanks for this information @themarkymark

This is new, I haven't heard of bitconnect so I opened cmc then... WHOA 400$ to 6$ in less than a month. What the frick happened?

Great move! Fight the scammers - is that in line with the Facebook news banning all crypto ads?

kyl

From a minnow, thank you.

Nice

Agreed. This guy doesn't deserve any more money. He already took people's life savings

He was one of the biggest cheerleaders for it. Along with Craig Grant (who removed all his videos thinking they are not available).

If Steem was a scam, a Ponzi or otherwise, and you knew it, and willingly promoted it, then yes.

Steem is not a Ponzi like Bitconnect, and as far as you and I know, it is not a scam at all, so even if it was, we wouldn't be liable.

The fact Bitconnect was a scam, the fact he knew about it and promoted it anyway, meanwhile benefiting from it. That's the key difference.

I must say it was a bit disheartening to see trevonjb use his SBD to invest in yet another scam in one of his latest videos (DavorCoin)

Great job @themarkymark for stopping him for at least using your bots.

Instead of using this platform to help the community...he's doing to line his pockets.

I recently took out SBDs to test it out...and saw how this in itself was a mistake.

Yesterday i put money back into steem because on a down day for the market one must double down on a platform or project one believes in.
Ive researched this platform enough to see things i see worthwhile to try help it go forward.

(im still learning all the quirks to this but i do view it as the possible new standard of social media)

This community will only survive if its members do their best to keep it alive and give back to it.

Not just take...

@themarkymark scams are evrywhere .. some people are born due to scam(hehe)

So, you are keeping a list of all the users, who are naughty and nice?
Do you check it 2 or 3 times?
I better watch my sleep and awake cycles!

:))

I wish I could, it's just so overwhelming. I do try to stop the worst case scenarios where I feel there is no question. In this case, it is an exception, and it is something I believe in.

I honestly don't know if it will be a popular choice or not.

I guess, you will see soon enpugh, if you receive the same regards as you did from Lannister Voldemort the other guys minions

I've seen the ugly side of blacklists in the past three years. On twitter, I'm on two different blacklists, and named one of the worst harassers of the internet. All of this is a bold faced lie, obviously, and my twitter archives can prove my innocence. My crime? I followed people I thought were interesting. People who evidently pissed off certain people with a whole lot of power. Then again, the creator of one of the blacklists received a C&D from the FreeBSD foundation because she was having a negative impact on their public image. (It's a long story...)

My only admonishment is to be 100% certain that the person you're adding to the blacklist is worth putting on that list. Keep evidence on hand in case anyone asks questions, and make sure it's something you can prove beyond a reasonable doubt. A judicious approach will always lead to a much better outcome. It doesn't matter if it's popular as long as it's done right.

nice

Done.

Hold up I 've seen some dumb shit on Steemit but this is the silly bro...honestly you're stupid if you even begin to blame someone for the fall of a cryptocurrency if they didn't create it, code it, or own it.

As a matter fact if steemit falls WE can ALL BLAME YOU cuz you believe in it and put your time into it right? And promote it and blog and vote right? OK cool so if I incur any losses at any time or loose any money on steemit or if Steem coin does something we dont like, like shut down because of sanctions, then WE ALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO BLAME YOU correct? If I use your understanding... you make it seem like he you forced you to join and held a gun to our heads to make us invest. You're a clown and crypto currency is full low life nerds like you and anyone else who thinks someone other than the creators of the coin are to blame when YOU IDIOTS follow every trend under sun...lol it's clear most of yall were always stupid don't blame anyone else...this crypto sector is filled with more special needs children than special ED my goodness take the blame for making a bad decision or is that against the rule of being Caucasian?

what is buildawhale?

Yo yo!! That's what I'm talking about. No scammer love!!

Congratulations @themarkymark!
