We moved into a new neighborhood a few years ago. Back then, there were quite a few houses already built, but two of our neighbors built their houses after we moved.

You can imagine it wasn't easy, but we coped with it because we were in a new house and loved it.
We did our share of repairs ourselves, mainly to the heating system, even though the house was practically new.
This year, our next door neighbor added an attic to the house which was a replica of ours, mostly.
For a few months the neighbor across the street has been building another house besides the main one. Right now, and often on Saturdays, it's a big noise outside.
Why am I telling you all this?
Well, because to me it seems easier to build a house the first time. When there's no one living inside and few neighbors, or most of them do the same - build. Then it's more complicated to add or fix major things.
You can, of course, in the limits of the initial blueprint, but you need to be careful about the discomfort you cause to the people living in the building and the neighbors.
That's a bit like Steem, or even better like steemit.com. Users do expect things to improve while at the same time wanting the website to continue to work as usual.
When there were no or very few users, things could change and be tested quickly, without much complain. But now, every change has to be carefully thought before being rolled out. A fine balance between building a better house and the comfort of the community.
