Good morning,
Today marks 3 years since I switched off TV and donated it to a relative.
It has been peaceful and serene.
I have read several books and written a lot.
Your peace of mind is very important, do not allow yourself to be immersed in noise.
Do not give attention to your haters and negative critics. Value your attention.
Every time you give your haters any attention, they distract you from your purpose. That's their aim. To halt your journey and pull you back.
I do that all the time on social media, in fact, I don't blink, the moment I notice that you are a hater trying to trigger an emotional battle, I block you immediately and let you rant behind my back.
My 3 years of pushing the buttons against political correctness has taught me a lot.
You see, the problem with haters and negative critics is that they are not interested in any constructive, productive, mutual interaction that leads to growth. They are interested in faulting, polluting your environment and throwing barbs at your peaceful existence.
Negative critics will say you are intolerant to differing opinions, but in essence, their ‘differing opinion’ is laced with insults, abuses, mockery and condescending comments. That's why I don't give negative critics any space to breathe near me.
Always value your peace and attention. Don't throw it carelessly.
Do not allow anyone to trigger an emotional confrontation with you. Read their first engagement and once you see the direction of their intention, just blur the conversation and disembark from that journey.
3 years of living without mainstream news in my house have taught me that emotions are a golden currency that few know about. Don't trade it with anyone who is not adding meaningful value in your safari to growth.
The best way to train yourself on how to value your peace is to take a social media detox.
I do it every Sunday.
Have a nice Sunday.
