Meriam ini adalah meriam yang dihadiahkan Turki Utsmani kepada kerajaan Aceh, kemudian Kerajaan Aceh, melakukan ekspansi ke tanah Johor, sehingga "pergejolakan Sejarah yang Panjang" maka Meriam Aceh yang terkenal ini berada di negri malaysia-Johor, namun dengan ke-orijinalannya, meriam ini masih dinamakan sebagai meriam Aceh walaupun bertempatkan di negri sebrang.
