A pensioner had to get a letter from his doctor to prove he was still alive!

in bureaucracy •  7 years ago

A man named Jean-Marie, who lives in France, hoped to receive a refund for the drugs he was taking due to diabetes.
But then he received a letter of refusal to refund from the insurance company claiming he's dead.

The letter would have seemed at first like a funny joke,
But what seemed like a joke lost all taste and became a torment in the twists and turns of bureaucracy.

He had to prove to the National Insurance Agency that he was alive. But then a problem arose because of the death of his original doctor...

This story is an example of the stupid bureaucracy that citizens have to undergo in countless variations for nothing.

אהבתי!

שמח שאהבת זה חשוב לי מאוד 🙂

That's typically French bureacracy. I lived there for 11 years. If you don't know anyone inside the health department, you have to wait months to get your bills refunded. I wasn't unlucky enough to be declared dead, though.

Wow, really? thanks for the additional information.. this is actually crazy

Ridiculous indeed but just another story about how the system is broken. Funny cartoon.

I agree with you, and thank you!

Your comics have a lot of depth to them and very effectively get your message across. I love the creativity!

Thank you! I appreciate it 🙂

Great drawings, love your concept of comics, they have a really deep meaning. Keep it up @mordechai !

Lol yes that is ridiculous

I live in France, and what you wrote here definitely sounds like it could happen here... The French bureaucracy is an absolute disaster.
However, your writing and drawings are wonderful :-)
