Buruburu (Buruburu) - in Japanese mythology, a ghost, the spirit of fear.
Buruburu becomes a person who not only died a violent death, but also experienced incredible horror before and during death. After death, he becomes a Buruburu ghost, capable of infecting people with a ghostly disease. You can destroy a burubura in the same way as any other ghost - by burning the remains of a person whose spirit has not found peace. Also, the Japanese Encyclopedia of Spirits of the Edo Period provides an alternative method in case it is not possible to burn the remains. Since buruburu is a creature of fear, it can be killed by fear. In other words, you need to scare the ghost to death.
Buruburu has all the standard abilities of ghosts and one unique one: infection with a ghostly disease. Buruburu can infect a person with a disease that will lead to heart failure. Like all ghosts, this spirit is afraid of iron and salt.
They follow people and make them shudder in fear. According to one version, Buruburu are born when a person commits a cowardly act, for example, leaving the battlefield. They take possession of a person by grabbing him by the collar and touching the back of his neck. This makes your hair stand on end and your body shake with trembling.
