Government of Republika Srpska, entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, blocked progress on gas pipeline development project between BiH and Croatia, that should diversify gas supply for BiH, since now they only have connection from Russia through Serbia.
Gas pipeline South interconnection between BiH and Croatia is planned on direction from Zagvozd in Croatia, through Posusje in BiH to Novi Travnik and Travnik, with a line to Mostar in BiH. Whole line shall be connected to future Ion-Adriatic pipeline, and connected to LNG terminal at Krk island.
Foreseen contractors for installation are Plinacro and BH-gas, EU provide political support, as well as financial support through European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
