Why am I writing about Dangote?
Let me use the very lines of this leading African business Lord when he said in few lines; "My grandfather once told me; the soul of business is not making money but making people happy.”
I can recall when Alhaji Aliko Dangote was on a business summit which was aired on Channels Television, he said that no matter what business one may want to embark on , it was paramount to make sure the purpose is gotten right.
He said there could be no greater purpose of any business than touching lives and making people happy by giving and meeting needs.
I didn't set out to be Africa's wealthiest man, I only had a burden to satisfy needs of people. I saw that people were building on a daily basis, so I thought of the Dangote cement, then we went into consumables, we are in the oil and gas, housing and what have you! It was the desire to meet needs that motivated me.> Aliko Dangote
What do you have to offer in your business to the market around you? It's difficult to succeed without having the mindset of a giver and a value adder.
People don't really care much what you have to offer it's how you much of their interest you have in mind that endears them to you.
NOBODY CARES HOW MUCH YOU KNOW UNTIL THEY KNOW HOW MUCH YOU CARE
(Theodore Roosevelt)
Like boss @ejimai once said, "Steemit doesn't pay you, you are rewarded for your interactions and friendship with people here."
Showing an overall interest in people will endear you to them even more than your talents or abilities.
You are always a good writer
