Another day, and another report of a desperate Entrepreneur providing an arguably essential service whilst maintaining safety procedures and looking out not only for himself, but also for his customers and getting lambasted for it.
'I didn’t get no stimulus, I didn’t get no unemployment. Basically, we are just starving,' he said. 'I got a family, I have got kids -- we are just starving.'
So here we are, with yet another business owner on the brink of starvation, desperate to make some honest money to feed his family. Recognising and respecting the need for precautionary measures, he opened his business up "illegally" only to be fined and forced to shut.
Note, that the owner was meticulous in preparing his business in lieu of the threat of virus spread. He had hired a full cleaning crew as well as stocked up on all the necessary precautionary items.
These include: Taking temperatures, hand sanitizers, and the wearing of masks at all times, including the provision of masks for customers if they do not have one.
In terms of social distancing, each barber has to be at least, 6ft apart from the next.
"Obviously he's just a selfish monster who doesn't care about others"
This is one of the few areas where I have drawn a line in the sand.
I absolutely will call people as the ignorant bigots that they are. Bigotries along class and socio-political lines are every bit as morally vile as those usually associated with the term, even if their social consequences are of differing magnitudes and natures.
Anyone who wants to deny the suffering and candour of my distraught family, friends, and acquaintances can go fuck themselves.
The people sneering are, it appears to me, overwhelmingly people who are not concerned about being able to pay their bills and put food on their table. But they presume to speak for those who are, proud of how white their knightiness is.
