A perfect team manager is more of a mentor to his team rather a strict boss. A strict manager is never able to let his team members work efficiently. In fact, a friendly manager is more likely to motivate his team members to work productively.
Every organization expects best from their managers and designated team members. Everybody talks on how managers should improve as a perfect guide to their team members, but have anyone ever thought about the role of organizations to help their managers improve as better leaders.
Managers are considered to be the sole responsible professionals to their allocated duties. If organizations wish to see the productivity of employees moving upwards, they must have faith in their managers and consider the following points to improve their manager's team management skills.
No One is Perfect
Since no one is perfect be it a manager or any other person in a superior position, you have to accept the fact – “no one is perfect” and train your manager to better deal with professional and emotional situations arising in a working atmosphere. During interviews, you can openly ask the person appearing for manager’s position about his areas of improvements. Sounds strange? As nobody wants to discuss his/her areas of improvements, it would embarrass the interviewee. But, it would help you help him improve as a better manager professionally and personally. By knowing the points where he/she lacks, you are able to provide a growing environment to overhaul his/her managerial capabilities.
Actually in recent years business startup has become a bustling business trends in the business world, especially Indonesia. But, if we look at the opportunities that exist, startup will obviously become a promising business model in the future.
And unique is the startup is able to move the business interest of young people who may be young people less interested in business.
Currently, startup is more dominated in the field of digital technology. Because digital development and the needs of people who are associated with information technology is also higher. Yes though it can also be collaborated with other fields.
But the core technology startup is now a new trend in the business world is very likely big.
A few days ago was given in Kompas.com that Google wants to build 100,000 application developers in Indonesia. The target of 100,000 developers is to be achieved by 2020, meaning about 4 years away.
The program is Launcpad Accelerator, which is a six-month startup development program.

“Why afraid in life, if you try something and fails, at least you will have an experience – either bad or good.” If a person is selected for a managerial position, he must have that team management skills that have convinced you to hire him. He must have known the difference between good and bad. You must believe on him if he asks for implementing something creative to improve work quality and productivity. If it fails, you must appreciate for his efforts as a good employer.
Loosen up the Pressure
If you expect your managers to help and motivate the team in a better way, let him be a human first. For example, if a team member is going through some personal emotional trauma, let him take his time to overcome it and support him emotionally. If he is failing to deliver the allocated task for last few days, understand his pains and discuss it personally. It will not only help the sufferer get back to a normal life, but the manager will be able to get the performance back to the usual. Here, organizations must acknowledge the reason that is making the entire output little disturbed. As a responsible employer, you can meet the manager and appreciate him for his personal approach towards the employee who is in pain. It would lessen the professional pressure from the manager.
In the period of six months it will be selected the best startup business and will be taken to Silicon Valley, United States to be equipped with a deeper knowledge of the digital business world, but it will also be given funding of Rp 600 million.
Of course, if Google has prepared this program, the Government of Indonesia should also provide and provide facilities. The existence of stable internet access, workplaces like Co-Works Space also need to be improved. And more importantly there is education to the general public about the development of existing technology. So that later when the time is right all will run smoothly balanced.
If this is realized in the year 2020, then Indonesia will become a minimal digital center in ASEAN.
But the problem of padastartup is a matter of capital.
The fact is that there are still many startups that fail to fly because of the problem of capital. Actually can rely on Venture Capital, but the financiers are usually picky startup where already seen. Though many startups are actually potential but they have not been seen due to lack of capital for development.
So here still need synergy from various parties so that later startup business can really be a good business model in the future.
