Are You Engaged In Any Business Outside Of This Cryptocurrency World?

in business •  6 years ago

Some here on Steem are using it full-time or are engaged in an activity around cryptocurrencies that gives them a full-time income including myself. But you could be doing a number of activities that earns you monthly income.

We are on this platform from various walks of life and surely we're all doing many different things outside of Steem. I'm curious to know what is that many Steemians engage in outside of Steem which keeps them going.

Cryptocurrencies are very volatile in nature and subjecting your monthly financial requirements on the volatility of your investment isn't a wise thing to do most of the time.

You could be running a business or be employed in a job. I find it fascinating to learn what different things we do in our life that allows us some freedom to be on a platform such as this and use it everyday to it's fullest.

There are so many experiences of life and work that can be shared and so much to learn from these experiences.

Please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below. If you are engaged in any business, I'd love to know how you got into it as well.

I retired early, and I am remodeling my home, and part time coffee roaster co.

That sounds rather great actually. I wouldn't mind another bull run anytime soon to be able to consider retiring and maybe model a place of my own haha.

I am so glad I did retire early, so many people are a slave to there jobs. When they do retire they really don't know what to do, they don't know " who" they are. I tell my sons make sure you can be out of debt and have your house paid for, then you can be free to enjoy your retirement!
I am !!!!!

True that!

....In the adult industry for the last 18 years ...

My (then) girlfriend lured me into it.
(It was ok though...I was a willing victim. lol)

That's quite a looong long time in it and quite an entry into it as well. Is it stressful?

Adult industry? :-). Is that what I think it is?

That would depend on what you think it is, matey! lol

(....but most probably 'yes', to your question..)

Really!?

...yup, really.

I am a full time doc

Oh great!! :)

you can contact me to repair your Macbook pro if you want 😃

While I am still in private industry, I feel that Steem has gotten me closer to the thought of entrepreneurial activities on my own which is my ultimate goal. I have always dreamed of having money work for me instead of me working for money!

I wish I could be into business because most of my relatives(from my mom's side) are into business and on my dad's side all of them are working professionals BUT i'm not into business yet.

I'm professionally and passionately into Web development, working on laptop for about 10-12 hours a day.

Oh that's good to know. I was quite passionate about web dev in my teens. Not anymore though. Do you freelance? What do you specialise in?

I am all the time giving advice whether it's here on steemit or outside of steemit.....hahaha. That waa on the lighter side. Basically I am into Healing and Consulting work. No fix income but just get enough what I need.

Good advice is much needed these days for everyone. :D
I saw your vlog, well done. :)

I am in a Forced semi retirement due to less work. I am into design and decoration of civil interiors- homes mostly.

We all have ups and downs. I've had my share of semi-retirement feelings due to "less work" days in the past. I just always look forward to the future. :)

Working on a ordinary job will be the case for most of us here.

I would love to make a crypto related business my full time gig, but unfortunately I don’t even know where to start.

Posted using Partiko iOS

That’s what I wish for. I want to go for a blackchain related startup. I am waiting for the Supreme Court decision on crypto regulations in India.

Currently I am in my family business of Jewellery.

Currently, I'm doing a master´s degree and, because of that, I´m not involved directly with any business. So I´m very committed to grow my Steemit account and finish my master´s degree within 1.5 years. By that time, I´ll be super ready for the job market, and very happy with some extra money that I made thanks to STEEM!! :D

That's a good plan actually. Might as well use this bear market as an opportunity to accumulate more crypto :)

Exactly, we are only months away from something great to happen :D

I'm a 'SIR' for children!

Great job man! :)

I wish I was full time STEEM. That would be the vision in a few years. Earning enough not to need my crappy day job that i have right now.

Hopefully by the time we get into the peak of the next bull run, you'll have enough cheap tokens to dump and load up your bank and maybe find a line of work that you enjoy.

THat is the dream. Having enough money to be able to have the choice of what i do. I would still work as i need to be doing something but where i spend that time would be a totally different story.

I wish I could take "Steem" as a full-time career or passion whatever you say but it's very unfortunate that the big hope I had a year back around this time started fading away with time. I'm always looking out for options related to "Work From Home" module.. If anybody has any solid work from home concept, do share with me.

It's very hard this full-time crypto work thing I can tell you that. :D It's not as rosy as it would seem. I think now is a good time as any. If the bull run occurs we all benefit, if not trust me you didn't miss anything haha!

Also, there's no specific concept. It's quite hard to crack. Took me a decade to get here and even now i'm always thinking how i can improve it even more. Every thing has its ups and downs. But being your own boss is pretty good over other things i've done is all i can say for now.

Even i am looking to make a regular income on this platform or the platform revolving around cryptocurrencies but still i am not able to achieve success in it so buddy if possible then please share your ways of earnings through which even we can also earn a living out of it.

Earning a living/regular income through steemit is hard and unrealistic currently even if you have a lot of SP. It's not easy especially when you see 95% crashes which remain for over a year. There's no real trick as the economics of this place is broken. It's not ideal to have reward pool based income. It doesn't work for everyone. Hopefully the next bull run won't take forever and maybe that will lift your income and your spirit as larger SP owners can give out more votes with less percentage but they will be worth a lot more due to price of steem being high. Right now everyone is conserving their VP for themselves or for things that matter the most to them.

Yeh that's for sure buddy but still if possible then do make a post or help me out making some good money atleast to bear my expenses online, as steemit may give a lots of wealth in future but for present we must look for something.
