The need to become a whale will become more and more important to those with capital interests.
Does anyone remember Tsu? Well, if not, Tsu was a social media platform that paid users based on post popularity. It was centralized and payments were based solely off ad-revenue profits. Every post was an unoriginal picture with some hashtags. No real content, and noone used it as a Social Media platform, but just a way to try to make a quick buck. It was literally a storm of copypasta and there was zero moderation on it. This model proved unsustainable.
Steemit will not see this downfall
I've also made some not-so-high-quality posts, but you have to start somewhere right?
There are artists of all kinds, talent and knowledge everywhere on Steemit. It already has some of the most valuable posts of any social media platform. In terms of actual content.
