Are We Spoiled By The Digital Age?

The digital era and content marketing has spoiled all of us with way more content than we know what to do with – and we’re nowhere near finished when it comes to adding yet more engaging content on top of that pile!

That can lead to confusion, but it also means that as a marketer, you still have a chance to go that extra mile and spoil readers even more with even better, more relevant, and up-to-date content than all of your competitors.

Put it this way: in an age where we have too much of everything, there is, in fact, a huge appetite for more. If you can meet it in your niche, then you are a lot closer to long-lasting success than you think.

One of the best ways to spoil readers is to give them a curated list of the best, worst, or most something of anything in your niche. People are addicted to lists and their easy-to-understand and break down format, and will happily read a whole bunch just to get a well-rounded idea of what to expect with the items in that list. From food to computer parts and even guidebooks, lists work for everything – go crazy!

The same also goes for information. In most niches, there are new products and breaking news every day. While they may not apply to every industry or niche, a lot of people just want a reliable source of information that they can turn to any time when they want to catch up.

In essence, although people are spoiled by access to information in the current digital age, that doesn’t mean the marketplace is saturated. If you can offer smart content curation strategy that offers people real value, they will come – and you will profit.

We are indeed.. we have all the information at a click of a button and yet people in the 80/90s were smarter then we are... generally of course... The average time that one person can pay atention to anything is about 7 seconds.. this tells a lot about our new era... very nice post :)
