How to Dominate Ads On FB Messenger

While most people are familiar with Facebook Messenger for chatting and even chatbots, fewer people are aware of the ads capability locked away inside of this powerful business tool. Essentially, it displays ads inside your FBM app on the home tab, making it considerably more likely that people will interact with you and your business. Also, it looks pretty cool.

These aren’t sponsored messages, but cold ads which you can send to anyone. As always, just go to the FB Ads Manager, and select your campaign objective (you can pick either traffic or conversions – I recommend conversions, as traffic is more for visibility and engagement boosting. That’s cool, but conversions are cooler!).

Once that is done, you will want to select a target audience and then create it (or if you’re already using FB Ads, select a profile you already have). Once that’s done, it’s as simple as picking where your ads are to be placed and selecting those fields.

Now all you need to do is select your ad format and insert the details – you can drive traffic to your site, or you can open up a conversation in Messenger; you have a lot of choice here! If you do this, be sure to set up a consistent chatbot funnel so that people are going to get a rich experience no matter when they click.

This is a very simple process, especially if you have experience with using FB Ads before, and even if you haven’t it’s very easy to get a hold on it and know what you need to do. As FB continues to grow its offerings, we can expect to see many more fantastic features like this being implemented.
