Content Promotion Tricks.jpg

Everyone loves to talk about content creation and strategy, but the room can often go so quiet that you could hear a pin drop when the talk turns to the promotion. You know – the actually getting your content in front of other people so they will read it and engage, convert, and do whatever it is that you want them to.

Why? Mostly, it’s because people don’t want to share their top-secret tricks for fear that they’ll lose the only thing that keeps them getting views and dilute their market. Understandable, but more of a display of insecurity in the power of their content and strategy.

First off, don’t ignore influencers – and they don’t have to be celebrities. Every niche has a handful of smaller influencers who will help you promote your content, and often for very little in terms of compensation. In return, you get access to a network of people who are your perfect target audience. Rinse and repeat for growing visibility in your niche!

You can also internally promote your content, typically by having people in your team throw our content to their social media networks (if you don’t have a team, that’s OK – what else are friends for?).

Additionally, you can tag people easily on many networks and sneakily get your content in the view of their audience. This promotion trick is so simple that I’m surprised more people don’t use it. Put these three together, and you’ll find that your promotional strategies are a whole lot more effective.

Most of everything I know, in reference to marketing, I acquired through the Internet, in this sense, why not share your knowledge, so as to facilitate other's acquisition of the "savoir-faire".
