YOUR VALUES ARE THE LANDMARKS KEEPING YOU FROM GETTING LOST

I want to share something that I think every growing startup should have. I know it sounds really cheesy - ‘Your values are the common vocabulary that your team can come back to over and over again’. They’re like the landmarks that you can plant in the ground so your team won’t get lost as they venture out into the jungle that’s the market.

And this applies to startups especially. Because at the end of the day a startup is just a team of people. You have limited financial record, you barely have a product and you maybe have just a handful of customers. So, if you’re a founder and you can’t articulate your values, how are you going to streamline your best and only asset you have? YOUR GROWING TEAM.
