If you're a Smartphone user, you probably have been visiting Google Playstore to download Apps for your mobile device.
Google Play is a digital distribution service operated and developed by Google. It serves as the official App store for the Android operating system, allowing users to browse and download applications developed with the Android software development kit (SDK) and published through Google. Google Play also serves as a digital media store, offering music, magazines, books, movies, and television programs.
My observation over the years is that mobile Apps with high ratings and positive reviews have higher downloads than Apps with negative reviews.
While this is just a common sense observation, few business lessons can be drawn from this:
#1: Positive reviews make businesses strive.
How do you get positive reviews?
It come from customer satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
#2: Always push for the top spot.
Strive to be among the top rated businesses in your niche.
Because the truth is, the higher your rating, the higher your chances of raking in more profit.
#3: Excellence is a great rewarder.
Taking your time to build an excellent product pays. If your products and services speak the language of excellence, you are likely to get recommendations from existing customers. So don't sit there thinking all there is to business is making profit. Seek to be the best version of you and you'll be rewarded in due course.
#4: Nobody cares who built what, all they need is what App can solve a particular problem.
You're not in business to make a name. You're in business to solve problems. If your business has the solution people seek, they will come to you whether you're familiar or not, and even beg you to take their money.
#5: Update or perish.
Do you know why developers keep updating their Apps?
They want to ensure their customers have better user experiences. If you're not constantly seeking ways of improving your business, be ready to go under.
#6: Business is all about adding value.
I don't remember ever allowing an App on my device that doesn't serve a useful purpose. If your business doesn't bring any value to the marketplace, you're going to get uninstalled soon.
To your business success!
Google is actually my favorite, I love the fact they have helped in the development of alot of facet of technology.
