Good Morning,
I work the front end of our small family butcher shop.
We get customers from all walks of life, from lawyers and doctors all the way to people who just work part time at McDonalds and everything in between.
Most customers only have good things to say about our store, our products, and our staff.
But there are a few who complain, it would be so easy to shrug off these complaints because we couldn't possibly be making any mistakes and most customers seem happy, right?
Wrong!!!
We business men are just as fallible as anyone else, we make plenty of mistakes.
If a customer complains usually that means that they care about your business, they want to come back and they want it to be better. Most customers won't complain, they will just go find some other business who serves them better than you.
Your best most valuable customers will complain!
Be humble and open to change. Do a lot of introspection, look at things from their point of view. Always be willing to admit your own shortcomings if they are legitimate. Create a quick plan in your head on how you can correct any shortcomings your business has.
Always be adapting and improving to gain more customers, if you don't, someone else definitely would love to have them.
Thanks,
Respectfully,
Matthew Donelan
