I have a feeling that the sales strategy is very underrated nowadays. It may be due to the fact there are tons of strategies that can be found online so people lose a lot of time and attention focusing on wrong things.

There is not ONE best sales strategy.
Remember: Your best sales strategy depends on the kind of business you have.
Developing an effective sales strategy will help your business and brand grow.
What would I have to say on the topic is the following:
- Start with small niche markets
- Listen to what your customers are telling you
- Be flexible
These three points are very crucial and dependent one another. Regardless the niche of your business, always starts with small niche markets. Target specific small group of people that share common pain points. Rather than making a mistake of reaching out to large businesses, try focusing on a precise grouping of companies perfect to pitch.
Another mistake you can do is not to listen to your customers. In order not to do so, try inventing ways of communicating with them better. Ask questions, make online surveys or phone calls. Try interacting with them as much as possible so you can figure out where exactly you go wrong. Then, fix your business where it is broken.
Being flexible about making changes in your business is one of the best sales strategies. You are probably going to stagnate if you are using the same sales strategy all the time. Be flexible about changing the prices, including new products, using new ways of advertising, or maybe even new offices.
Try new methods all the time and see what works for your business the most. That's how you create your own perfect sales strategy.
