Europe Buys More Russian Gas

Take a look at the map showing the oil pipeline infrastructure that the eastern bloc has been developing since the Ukraine conflict. They have created a web of pipelines which is still under development with the Nord Stream 2 almost completed and the Nord Stream 3 is on deck. The first run of the Turkish Stream is completed, with this line there is a reliable source of fuel to Turkey and southern Europe.

The map should been clearly painting a picture of the eastern bloc's strategy to usurp the power from the west. The progress of the pipelines have been helped by the demand for Russian gas throughout Europe. The other suppliers have been stymied by maintenance problems. In Norway, Russia's closest competitor had an unplanned outage at the Skarv field and the Kollsnes processing plant. In Libya, the Greenstream pipeline to Italy was down for maintenance to integrate it with gas from the Bahr Essalam field. The maintenance was prolonged and Italy has received no gas for all of April. Demand for Russian gas was also driven by the extremely cold winter.

The strategy with the gas supplies to Europe seems to be exactly the strategy China and Russian are developing for future trading and financial transfers. Regarding trade, they are rapidly developing the one belt road and securing trading partners. As for financial, the SPFS has been reported to be ready for deployment.

It would appear that all the pieces are falling into place for the petrodollar to be dethroned as the world's reserve currency.

The EU would be smart not to add more to the sanctions against Russia, as they will depend on this natural gas and the pipeline to get it to them. As the Earth descends into the Grand Solar Minimum, the Norther Europe climate will cool by a few degrees centigrade between now and 2025. Gas will be a much more reliable source of heat versus electric which could be effected by EMPs or solar flairs. The continuing lack up upgrades to the grid, or from overuse of the existing capacity, causing brown-outs, etc.

I read about the sunspots disappearing and the 11 year cycle of the sun. They think we are entering into a mini ice age. Based on the cold snap Europe had this winter, I think they are on to something. The pipeline network shows the chess mentality of the east, when the western mindset is still thinking they can solve everything by printing money. Regarding upgrades or even maintaining the infrastructure (e.g. the grid) the west has been relying on systems that are about 100 years old. They just apply bandaids when the system breaks down instead of updating / upgrading. Gee, I wonder how reliable our infrastructure is today. I don't know if gas will be more reliable than electricity as both require conduit lines; for gas it needs pipelines and for electricity wires and both are dilapidated, but you make a valid point that the electricity grid is not harden to sustain an EMP hit.
Sorry for being satiric but I can't help myself. Well thought out comment, thank you.

Less the sun is creating less energy and causing the locations above 45 degrees to shut off crop production and those between 35-45 to be affected by violent weather such a flooding and hail. Growing seasons will close and heating requirements will increase, such as needing natural gas.

It will be interesting to see whether there is a better chance for peace as more oil/gas distribution networks are developed by a larger number of countries and the US loses some of its grip on the balls of the West and the Middle East.

Maybe, I really can see why the eastern bloc would want to pursue war if they are holding all the cards. Personally I think the politicians of the west are warmongering because they have nothing to lose at this point. Their credibility is in the garbage with foreign countries, they only suckers leave are the people wanting freebies. Good comment.
