Starting my life - Business Journal (Entry #1)

in business •  7 years ago  (edited)

I've been away from steemit for a fair while now, I've been busy with boring life stuff. I recently being working on the launch my own business based on eBay. Starting an online business is actually one of my new year resolutions for 2018. When I've gain enough profits, I'll move it to website.

It's been tough lately with my parents breathing down my neck the time with the quote "GET A JOB!", every time I ask for money or even when I ask simple question. Even my grandparents are bitching about it. I explain to them I'm starting my own company and they can see outside their own ego. I'm not own to bend to societies system to get a job, invest in mutual funds and possibly have enough money to retire when I'm 65 if the economy is good. I just have a problem working under someone else while they are racking in mounds of cash.

Fresh out of High school and I'm tight for cash because I didn't think about the future, I lived in for now not the tomorrow. I can't even remember what I spent all my money on, but with 100 bucks in the bank and some cryptocurrency and a half working computer I've started my ventures by selling of some unnecessary crap laying around on my eBay store. I've sold most of my PS4 games and extra computer parts. Once I gather enough money I'll be buying some wholesale items from china.

Here's my half working PC:

(Power supply cables are too short, lol. Can't put a GPU in it PSU watts are too low.)

I've been reading books, yes, BOOKS! Who knew how much knowledge lies with in them. I'm currently reading The Millionaire Fastlane by MJ DeMarco. I highly recommend, It's a must read for people that are interested into getting into entrepreneurship. There's also a really good forum created by the author called "The Fastlane Forum".

Another good book is Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon hill, which goes through to explain about the 50 richest people in the 1900's and how they emassed fortunes by changing their mindset. It really gets you into a mentality to start something big.

My goal to be self-employed and be financially free by the end of next year if I play my cards right. I'm going to frequently writing a business journal here on steemit, so if you want to follow along on the documentation of life's adventure then please follow and up-vote. You won't be disappointed :)

I'll be using the SBD payouts from steemit to grow and improve my business and leave the STEEM to grow my steemit profile. Stay tuned!

Good luck with your business ventures! :) Just want to say that you are really brave to follow your dreams and get yourself out there.

You're too kind :p

Look whose back! Business can be tough mate, but going it alone is much better than employing people. But I might just be grumpy because I've spent the last 2 years hiring staff, firing staff and getting angry at staff.

Keep pushing ahead with your business. But don't forget to view Steemit as a business opportunity in itself. There are a tonne of opportunities here to earn a decent income, it's an amazing place.

So don't neglect your Steemit account! Stay active :)

Welcome! Good luck with your business

Thank you mate :)

Fastlane by MJ is quite good. The N. Hill book, good to read but I'd put it on the back burner. Lot's of millionaire mentioned in the book committed suicide after, so its 50/50.

good luck

Half way through Fastlane, it fuels my motivation every time I read it.
