Hey guys, Rules for Rebels back with episode 25 of side hustle Tuesdays. I really love today's story and today's hustle because it strikes me as being a very attainable business for literally anyone to start.
This business and hustle we're talking about today doesn't require a single penny to startup. It also doesn't really require any special skills or knowledge, it's taking advantage of the skills, knowledge and experiences you already have and we all have some to share.
Today's story is about a family man and technical writer who after doing a lot of extended travel and living abroad for years, found a way to turn his knowleldge and experiences into a consulting business where he helps other families thinking about making the transition overseas.
After starting out with doing just consulting Jeff realized that there's only so much Jeff to go around and that to really scale and he did that by starting an e-mail service for people who didn't need one on one time with him but did want some good info and at a slightly lower price. And he also continued offering those one on one consultations as well for people who had a lot of questions and wanted that more one on one experience.
As you can see if you take a look at Jeff's site, ExpatYourself, the site is hardly that impressive. Don't get me wrong the content is great but the design is far from something super stunning which I actually like as I think it illustrates if you have good information to share people aren't going to get hungup on you having a fancy schmancy website. Literally anyone can do this and it costs literally nothing to get started so I think it's a great opportunity.
Happy to see such high-quality content on here. You probably missed out by not including the #travel tag! As a fellow entrepreneur, you've got a new follower. :-)

I'm blown away on how much some of these people will end up spending when they are afraid of the sky falling. But I'm still surprised this guy is making money doing this.

Yeah I'm surprised by how much some people will pay for "info". Don't get me wrong info is incredibly valuable but when I hear about how much some people are paying someone for coaching or consulting or even a course it blows my mind.
I talked to a guy recently who was asking me for some guidance with Amazon FBA. He said he only had about $250 to work with and in passing said because he spent $4500 on a course and coaching on FBA.
If he paid someone $4500 for a course he should know everything there is to know about FBA and shouldn't need to reach out to someone else. It's actuallyy quite sad to see people waste their money and be taken advantage of like that.
I'm actually in the process of reaching out to some people for coaching or consulting want to see some other peoples methods but were talking like $200 for an hour of their time, not thousands.

Yeah, the real estate, stock trading, and other money making seminars are the worst. I don't even know where people get that kind of money to spend on so little info sometimes.
