Entrepreneurship is the Key

in business •  7 years ago

When I grow up, I want to be a star, I want to be on television, I want to be popular, I want to drive flashy cars , I want time for my kids, I want beautiful cars and the list goes on and on and on is all that comes to the mind of a growing child. Our wants are limitless and we keep adding to the list whenever our eyes permits us to see something glorious. We suffer not much; thinking life will play its course and give us the fortunes we deserve and yearn for. We entrust our future to our parents who are seen as superstars during our growth.

My Daddy Is a Superhero

I actually believed my father was capable of anything in this world. I believed he was the strongest man on earth and that if anyone cheated me, the person would have to answer to him. I remember on one occasion that made this feeling more real was when I was in Primary 4 in my early schooling days. One afternoon, I returned home crying after going to school and having a 2 hour extra classes lesson. My bag was torn with my books in my arms and tears on my cheek. I looked very miserable. After the classes as I went home, I had a company whose name is Adu Adjei. He was a fat bully and we stayed in distant communities. At the point where we would each divert individually to our homes, he held me and wanted me to escort him home. I was true to my words of not following him but my bag and body suffered for that decision

The following morning, I returned to the school with my father who made sure the boy was severely punished and that he wouldn't do that again. I was more than happy to see that action in place. I had more trust in my father and I believed every bit of what he said to me from then. Indeed it's good to believe in your father. They know very much more than you do and have lived the life you are likely to live.

It's the Time for Entrepreneurship

If you dont want to end up exactly the same position as your father, then you have to do more than what your father tells you to do. The age for white collar jobs are coming to an end. Most parents will advice you get a white collar job as do mine but I find this advice slightly out of order. White collar job indeed will give you something good to live on, barely enough to survive on.

The time has come when staying home and working gives much more profit and productivity than moving outside into an aircondition room and working. I was sad when I went to an office to fill out some forms. The whole staff excluding the manager had a whole day break. I asked them the reason and to my biggest surprise, it's always like that. They are actually wasting their talent by sitting dusk. Though they get paid, there is no legal way to increase their income by being extra productive.

My advice this morning is, being a good boy or a good girl is good. Do not forsake your education but add skills to them. The world is evolving and those with the proper skill sets are likely to survive. Have a wonderful day.

But by all means keep moving.!!
@sems41

We certainly need more entrepreneurs who can take the human race forward!

I see saw many fake entrepreneurs trying and succeeding in make money without adding value to people’s life.

I love true entrepreneurs:)

Hi Nathan, I can't agree even more with this statement!

At the end of the day, the definition of an entrepreneur is someone who adds value to others. Money is the by-product of the value creation.

Mad respect for highlighting this!

By any chance, are you hustling any side projects?

I am Darryl from Singapore :)

Hi Darryl :)
Thanks for your respond.
At the moment I'm focusing my time solely on Crypto investing (Mainly contributing to the ecosystem) Trying to make maximum compounded impact in the world we live in today.

I do only one thing ....So. I don't do side projects. lol

Hi Nathan,

wow! absolutely, didn't expect a reply from you!

Appreciate this buddy! glad to see your excitement and positivity in crypto investment but may i ask... do you have a day job to give you cashflow or you are 100% on crypto trading ?

If so, what's giving you cashflow?

Like i use to tell my student, gone are the days of white collar jobs, entrepreneur is the only way forward.
Learn a skill today and you will never regret it, be a job creator and not a job seeker.

Have visions, set goals, I see you sharing your success story.
Thanks so much for this post which should serve as a reminder to this modern youth.

Dad always wanted children better. And so we should always listen to them.

Have a nice Sunday. A hug

Lovely write-up...
True! The period of white-collar jobs is weaning.
One has to develop sets of professional skills as regards the industry you choose to belong.
As humans we are growing. therefore, we need to develop our skills by acquiring more knowledge.
A good life is guided by knowledge..

Every fether is supper hero for his soon. I'm respect for all fother.

Cool stuff bro
People are becoming more aware of this fact, people are waking up to the reality that doing what you love is what will make one truly successful, not what your parents love.
So it all comes down to knowing who you are and what you really want for your life, everything becomes clear in plain sight after that discovery moment

It's my dream to become an artist and be seen in TV before when I thought the world is as easy as what I've imagined. Now that I grew up, all I want is a simple peaceful financial free life without the stress of being famous.

Hello Tj4real, I appreciate your transparency about your relationship with your father and allowed us to have a glimpse into your childhood.

I am very excited to hear more about your entrepreneurship journey!!

Do document more about it! :)

Very well written. Thank you for sharing @tj4real

Great article! Here one good quote about enterprenuers

I really love this. Extremely motivating

Our team motto is: Live. Learn. Pass On.

Thanks for the article, @tj4real and for sharing the story about your father, i have the same thoughts as well :)

We should be grateful of living in a truly amazing time. We have so many opportunities and anyone is finally able to become anything they want.
Let's make good use of our time and, most importantly, let's stop wanting and focusing more on being.

Success will eventually come, and most of the times it's not going to be anything even closely related to what our idea of success was at the beginning. Keep believing, as life works in unexpected ways...

Cheers from Prague and have a wonderful day as well!

You just have to love entrepreneurship. Is the way out. It helps shape you to become a better person whiles also changing lives positively.

There is so much in this article - the young person's urge to explore new things, to learn skills and use them, according to the current zeitgeist. .... the childhood idol, your own respected father, turns slowly into an old man, who is clearly behind the times. Yes, it is hard to tell your parents - 'you are old fashioned, you don't know what the opportunities are today, you think you are telling me what to do because it is best for me, but you have failed to keep up with the times'. But that is what needs to be said - I am sure there are better ways to say it, than how I have said it. Maybe others will comment and suggest good ways to communicate that to the older generation. Or maybe it just does not need to be said at all - what are your views?
