Steemit has set the model

The innovation will set in. As bitcoin set the bar for cryptocurrencies, Steem will revolutionize social media, and will hopefully become the precedent that will extend into a global culture.

The Vision
In a very short time, the Steemit Community has opened my eyes to hope by harmonizing with the feeling I had when I first realized the significance of Bitcoin. The instant feedback and rewards are very powerful tools when combined with diligent members of the community. It is classical conditioning for social media which has been plagued with repetitious blogs rehashing the same story. I quickly learned which posts gained traction and which ones lead to excoriation with zero reward.

It is through this constructive feedback and reward that we can recondition society and set the model for youth. Living in a technologically advancing world that is heading toward automation, creativity and constructive ideas will be crucial for the betterment of society. I am hoping I live to see the day that money will become irrelevant creativity and science will be held with ultimate esteem.

How It Could Be
Bare with me as we imagine most the basic needs are met through autonomous machines political power has been decentralized. We would have to give up some freedoms to gain this type of society as every light cast a shadow, but I will go into those in a later post.

I picture a place similar to Steemit where if someone has an idea they can propose it on a blockchain and resources will be allocated to it as it gains popularity with secure upvotes. If they don't get "funded", they can still achieve their goals by connecting with the people who did upvote it, or they can simply make it happen by their own labor as long as it doesn't interfere with the consensus of society.

I don't want to go into the flaws of this system as I am trying to a positive outlook, but as we learned earlier a little constructive criticism can go a long way.

• There would be to many things to vote on.
• People's unique interests could be outlawed.
• We most definitely could head in a bad direction. ( If good and bad really exist.)

On that note I can't wait to read about all the negatives that might come such a system. This is idealistic I know, and it very well could be the story of Mr. White and the Monkey's Paw.

In Practice
The revolution has already begun. Steemit can be the stepping stone if we will it to be. There are ready clones in the works that will take the model Steemit has created and they will apply other working models such as Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitch to name a few. I am surprised I haven't seen webcam porn using this model already, given that porn has been the driver of many internet innovations. Most likely it is because why would they want to stop making money. There is no need to discuss the negative side current monetary system here.

InstaSteem
I would like to see Steemit to expand upon its idea, so it can enjoy the rewards. That being said code is alive and without innovation it dies. I am not a huge fan of the catered feed facebook has to offer as I would like to see everything that all my friends post. I don't use Instagram all that often, but I do see the effect it has on people around me. If the goal is to have mass adoption, I feel like we must target the young.

I am sure they will all jump on board with alacrity when they see those Steem Dollars rolling in. Mostly likely they would have very little steam power with the way people scroll down the feed liking everything, but it can show them another way. It can condition them to post content of value to others. It would be a great experiment and in many cases we may just make the biggest jackass rich, although I don't think it is very different from that at this current moment.


In Conclusion
I all for trying this experiment out, in order to change the payment model closer to a meritocracy. Where creativity becomes the merit and capitalism becomes one step closer to phasing out. Capitalism is a wonderful tool that got us to where we are today, banged up and bruised. It became an efficient machine that worked too well for our own good. It gave birth to modern socialism, which now it is in perpetual conflict with. I do not want to raise my child in a world, where she thinks of money over creativity. I do not want to raise in a world where money matters. Crypto currencies I can deal with.
