In Venezuela there is the Fundación Fundación de Investigaciones de Astronomía Francisco J. Duarte (CIDA). This institution is attached to the Mystery of Popular Power for Science, Technology and Research and its main objective is to promote and develop the astronomical research done in the country, as well as its teaching and dissemination. The center works in the city of Mérida and among its main tasks is the administration of the Llano del Hato National Observatory of Astronomy, located in the town of Apartaderos, Mérida state.
The observatory is one of the most important in the world and has 4 telescope systems that keep the country in constant observation of the universe.
Another important system that keeps us technologically connected with the universe is the Venezuelan artificial satellite Simón Bolívar. This was launched into space in 2008, using the Long March 3b rocket, with the cooperation of China, as part of a telecommunications development policy to be used for all the inhabitants of the country and sister countries of South America and Central America (although in reality this is in theory because in practice, for example, we have the slowest internet in the entire American region).
The technological development has had an impact on obtaining a great amount of astronomical knowledge and, part of this knowledge, we have to share it with the communities to enjoy the adventure of learning about space and participate permanently in maintaining and caring for this universe.
