The Ukrainian villagers who are unable to produce milk in locally produced milk Because of the Chernobyl accident, there was radioactivity in liquid milk produced there, it still did not stop. In April 1986, the tragedy of the tragedy that took place in April is still visible in many sectors of the country. In the case of liquid milk, it is found that in many villages of Ukraine, the level of radioactivity of fluid derived from local livestock is still less than five times more than the government's prescribed limit.
This information comes from a joint study by experts from the University of Exert of Greenpeace Research Laboratory, Ukrainian Institute of Agricultural Radiology. Experts from Ukraine's private farm and home-grown cow's milk samples were collected in Reven. The area is located 200 kilometers away from Chernobyl in the Reven area.Researchers found that the amount of radioactive cesium in cow's milk is five times higher than that of the Ukrainian government's safe level for adults. On the other hand, it is 12 times more than the level considered safe for the children.
The University of Exporter's Greenpeace Research Laboratory researcher said. Irina Labunska said, "More than 30 years have passed since the Chernobyl accident. Still, the people of the country are not safe from radioactivity. Especially in the Chernobyl area, they are being attacked by the localized food and they are being attacked by this radioactivity. We have observed the survey, many of the people are fed by milk for milk production and the children are the main consumers of this cow's milk. However, the level of pollution on this soil is no longer available. Still, the levels of radioactive cesium are much higher in milk and other foods produced here. This level is so high that due to radioactivity, every part of the body is more likely to be damaged. This is most applicable especially for children. '
The researchers warn, if there is no such step now, the danger of radioactive pollution in milk will remain at least until 2040.
