Why is the movie aired suddenly in Saudi?

After 35 years, this is the first time Saudi Arabia is going to open the cinema hall and some days later. The first picture will be shown Black Panther.

But in the country where the film was forbidden for three and a half decades, why did the movie become 'legitimate' due to the sudden?

The reason behind this is the massive change in the Saudi society.

In the twentieth century, the source of the power of the Al Saud family was two. One is their oil wealth, and the second is a non-formal 'contract' with conservative Islam religious leaders.

'But now the day has changed', writes British researcher Chatham House analyst Jane Kinemont.

'Because in the twenty-first century it is seen that the oil money is no longer sufficient to meet government expenditure or to create employment, and the impact of religious leaders on the new leaders of the Saudi royalty has decreased.

Saudi Arabia's population is 32 million and most of them young people are under the age of 30. To connect with them, King Salman has done the new prince, his 32-year-old son, Muhammad bin Salman, The name is called 'MBS'.

This MBS is now taking major decisions for Saudi Arabia's future course of action.

He is practically giving a new model, do more work for Saudi Arabia, enjoy life, but do not criticize the Saudi system.

In this way, he is trying to deal with the pressure of giving citizens more political rights.

Like neighboring Dubai, he is not raising political independence - instead he is promoting social independence. The cinema hall is open part of it.

But a serious question is, do Saudi really want a more liberal society?

In reality, the Saudi society is multicolored, there are many types of people here. More than a million people have studied abroad, and the rest are still in full-time traditional tradition.

How Mohammad bin Salman raises the ban on women driving, opening the movie hall, there is a debate in Saudi society that how fast the pace should change, and what kind of culture should be developed there?

This debate is about the rights of the most powerful women.

Saudidad sees two thirds of a movie each week online. 9 out of 10 people have smartphones. Many people go to see movies in Bahrain or Dubai with cheap flight tickets.

Movies were shown on the Saudi Airplane flight, but the scenes of 'unforeseen' things like women's open arms or liquor bottles were blurred.

Actually, the ban on the movie in Saudi Arabia was not imposed on public opinion. It was done to please the Islamists.

The country's Grand Mufti said that the film can be seen in shameful and unethical things, and it can encourage free association with men and women.

At one time, these things were making big discussions. Now it does not.

During the MBS, the Saudi government believes that the power of this religious leader is politically dangerous, because it can provoke extremism or demand political divide.

Now, rather, the Saudi government has indicated that in the future, these religious leaders will have power and influence in the hands of less than before.
