At present the great climatic changes are generating droughts in some points of the planet. If we take into account that 97% of the planet's water is in the form of oceans and seas, 2.3% in the form of glaciers and barely 0.7% in fresh water with a percentage of it contaminated; then, it is clear that the world will enter a world crisis of water scarcity in a time no longer than 20 years, due statistically to the accelerated growth of the world population, indicating that water consumption has tripled since 1950.
There are proven examples such as the volume of water from Lake Chad in Africa, which decreased by 90% since 1960. In Europe, 300 liters per inhabitant per day are consumed, twice as much as in the US and Japan, but 20 times more than in Sub-Saharan Africa. A quarter of the population of Latin America and the Caribbean lives in areas where the demand for water is greater than the recovery capacity of this resource. There are figures that calculate the death of 3.1 million people in 2002 due to water-related diseases such as diarrhea and malaria, at least 6,000 children die every day in the world for lack of access to vital liquid and another 4,000 for consume potentially harmful waters, some 2,600 million people lack basic sanitation facilities. In the areas that maintain wars, there are time bombs because during the conflicts the water networks are damaged, increasing diseases like cholera and diarrhea, so drinking water can save more lives than all the medical institutions together in the world .
Scientists around the world warn about the melting of the Arctic, the overheating of the earth and the deterioration of the ozone layer as a consequence of the global climate disorder, while warning the decline of the poles and their possible disappearance together with animal species to carry to a break with the balance of nature. This indicates that there will be a reduction of fresh water and the rise of the seas as a dramatic situation that would disappear in principle some islands, generate heat waves, increase the temperature of the planet earth and that in that proportion could disappear in about 100 years to the human species completely.
