"This old house" race update

I got called in to work so uncle Pete showed up.
He's Not really my uncle but have been like family for 25 years. He is a real OG! Irish to the core.

Just as I was leaving a well dressed very polite and pretty woman in her mid 20's pulled up. She walked up smiling with a tablet in her hands. She introduced herself so I listened politely and made a little small talk. She was very happy to present the lords scripture to me.
Im not very religious myself...I did however attend sunday school/church and completed my communion etc. All when I was much younger. Anyways...
So as I kinda cut the conversation short...
She asked if she could come over sometime to hang out and go over some scripture?....Bill fricking behave 👼. Lol.
I work shift so it might be hard to line up. Phew!
I did talk crypto and quickly present Steemit to her. Then I wrote it down, and said check the platform out if you like it... join. Shes probably not going to be impressed with my posts. HaHaHa!. But maybe she will check Steemit out. Maybe even join and convert to a Steemian also.😉
Something about cute church chicks..gets me everytime.!

On to the renos. Pete came to help me finish grouting the floors. It took him 5 hours. Thanks Dude. You the man! Owe ya one.
When I got back and he was almost done.
tomorrow clean up, scrub, then finishing touches. Hopefully.

The boxes in the pic are the new cabinets, I am really pleased. I feel, I got a decent deal on them.
Self closing drawers and doors! Sooo cool. Just give them a lil push and they shut themselves. WOW!

Then off to the landraces. Went back this time prepaired and just in time! Not a whole lot were left. Most had fell to the ground, ready for next year. Thats cool...

Greedy little grubs. With little info to be found. These buggers started showing up noticeably around 10-15 years ago🤔. This year is bad! hearing back from people all over.
I believe Eggs are planted by the parent flying insect in the spring...the eggs hatch into little flourecent orange or yellow grubs, feasting their way through the stem. Emurging through the dying rotten bud at the end of the season.
I dont know what happens from there?. I guess if left through the winter. The grub will transform to the flying insect by next spring?.
Also I have heard something like this was a major problem with corn crops until mass GMO was introduced.?
